Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is warning liberals Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden can’t turn out enough voters to defeat Donald Trump, four years after he predicted Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton.

“Biden does not generate the necessary enthusiasm that it’s going to take to get people out,” Moore tells Vanity Fair magazine. “The Democrats are cynically counting on everyone’s desire to remove Trump.”

“This has been a crazy year, a crazy election year, a crazy year on so many levels,” Moore said. “Anything you would have predicted back in December or January is out the window. The year we thought we were going to have on any level is out the window. So if it’s all out the window, what else is out the window?”

Moore may have a point.

Polls show that while Biden has a large lead over Trump among registered voters, that lead drops sharply when the sample is narrowed down to those who plan to actually vote.

Among those, Biden’s supporters are less enthusiastic than Trump’s, possibly further eroding Biden’s lead.

ABC News reports a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll finds “strong enthusiasm for Biden among his supporters — at just 24% — is the lowest on record for a Democratic presidential candidate in 20 years of ABC/Post polls. More than twice as many of Trump’s supporters are highly enthusiastic about supporting him, 53%.”

Why am I forced to wait for AF's gems of wisdom or lack thereof??? Despite disagreements with him, I find him to be highly entertaining, and he does not offend anyone personally. He is a staple of Patnet, and his loss would be irreplaceable!

Agreed, I think only those intentionally trying to be malicious rather than spirited, where they are being disruptive. Or have someone they have had spirited dialog with, has asked them to tone it down or took offense, should be flagged. I can handle someone retorting me with the first statement being colorful, then laying out their argument.
But I wouldn't be cool if someone just made a point replying to every thread by calling me Shithead and never having nothing to say other than Shithead. And if they came up with a new word each time. That would just be one of those genuine unique posting style staples you find in all great forums.

I think the ignore is the best option for any form of censorship. As people are introspective, what they read that is about them. Matters more to them, as they worry what other's must think. The truth is, if something or someone is grating your gears. Nobody else even gives a crap about what one poster says to the next. Unless it's really that salacious.

I'm Joe Biden, and I have sniffed, fingered and pawed this message.

Don't worry Biden fans, the fake-news media has Biden ahead in all the fake-polls. Just like Hillary.

That said, if the leftists take the presidency, senate, and house, there will never be another republican thought allowed. (Well, at least until Civil War 2.0.) Open borders, amnesty to all, voting rights extended to 200 million 3rd-worlders.

Biden is a bad candidate.

Nobody with a brain actually likes him. He is only popular with those who strictly toe the party line.
These guys will vote for the Democrat candidate, period.

Too bad, they are not going to be able to win it.

A lot of the Democrats don’t like Biden nor Trump so they just won’t vote, it’s that simple.

Anecdotal evidence: My friend has a daughter who grew up in (ultra liberal) Santa Cruz and now works in San Francisco.
She’s 24 or so. I heard them talking about politics and she said her friends are voting for Trump, they’re disgusted at all of the attacks on their values lately.

I’m expecting Trump to win, which will be good for everyone.

If he doesn’t, I’ll travel and forget about it.

Upon my return, I will focus on making moar money, fuck the losers.

Rasmussen says 27% of Likely Black Voters Favor Trump. I guess they must like jobs, security, no war and a good economy.

The inter generational animosity has grown to epic proportions lately. The elder generations are largely obsessed with Covid19 and scared to contract it. The younger generations aren’t, not so much at all. They have complied with orders and requests to slow the spread and distance... for the most part. And we as a nation have repaid them with massive unemployment, a label of “inessential”, and all the blame for present and future outbreaks. I see people online(mostly older than middle age) complaining bitterly with wild accusations about people who refuse to social distance or wear a mask properly.

Also, if you all haven’t noticed, this has become a left/right issue. Conservatives recognize the need to reopen and get the economy moving again before we all drown in debt and stagnation. Leftists relish hopes of a return of the lockdowns and want government to get all jackboot stompy on people who don’t take enough precautions.

Of all groups which have a stake in this country and the left/right virus debate, young people have the most to gain and least to lose by full reopening with zero restrictions. This puts them de facto On the RIGHT!
How long has it been since a majority of young people voted (with urgency) for a conservative President? Never?
But 2020 breaks all the fucking rules!
Might just happen this time!

It had better, because Trump has lost the oldsters, the majority of whom now back Biden.
