A Burnley supporter has reportedly defended his move to arrange for a ‘White Lives Matter’ banner to be flown above his side’s Turf Moor stadium during their 5-0 demolition to Premier League champions Manchester City on Monday.

Shortly after kick-off of Monday’s game, a plane was spotted flying above the stadium displaying the banner displaying the phrase and came shortly after all 22 players had kneeled prior to the game in solidarity against the scourge of racism in sport.

Burnley fan Jamie Hepple has reportedly claimed responsibility for the display, which came as an apparent riposte to the spate of displays of support for the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement which have become commonplace in the English game since the restart of the Premier League last week...

Hepple, though, remained unrepentant. Borrowing a phrase from Irish UFC superstar Conor McGregor, Hepple wrote on his since-deleted Facebook page that “I’d like to take this time to apologise .. TO ABSOLUTELY F**KING NOBODY!

“It’s now apparently racist to say white lives matter,” he continued on his social media account...

Lancashire Police have also stated that they are investigating the matter to determine if any laws were broken.

WOW! So it's now potentially ILLEGAL in England to say "White lives matter".

So whites have fewer rights just because of the color of our skin. What's the definition of racism again?

Red! History has a way of sorting this stuff out.

I don't think the pink under britches crowd are going to be on top of this as it plays out.
They are damn fools.

Why are you surprised? It's the same country where a man was jailed for "revving his car in a racist manner" after all.

Shit's gone way down hill in England. I'm still hoping Brexit will pull their heads out of their asses but yeah, you can get arrested for going against the left there.

For instance, making a youtube video about a bunch of muslim immigrant pimps turning out little white british girls. They'll throw your ass in jail with the muslims.
