That's a tough watch at the end. Sounds like he was a fucking monster and he's only 2 weeks removed. Didn't seem fully recovered either. Unless it's life saving or sustaining (high BP for example), never take prescription meds. And stay away from OTC drugs if you can as well. Benzo's fucked up what was seemingly a normal man. We'll see if he comes back. Outlook is not positive from that video.

I'm a huge fan but I definitely don't consider him normal. Myself and lots of people I know used to drive over the border to Laredo and get those in our early 20s. Never a problem. Although in the interview I seem to recall older people have a problem with it more than others. I suspect people who generally tend to have addiction problems will have a LOT of trouble with that class. Junkie types. Whether they are or not.

Edit: Nobody I know did but that's how 'roofies' made their way into TX in the 90s. Although even the mexican dentists and pharmacies stopped selling those because, "You can't take them back!"

I'm a big JP fan. He is a warrior in the fight against the SJW's and nihilism. He is definitely a real antifascist.

Some of his old lectures are brilliant. He was a bit high strung but had an excellent knowledge of the topic and an insightful analysis. He seemed a bit OCD and had a hyper sense of duty. I 'm not sure he knew how to stop working or relax.

This is pretty much it. Especially for emotional type issues. Anxiety, depression, etc. Not gonna say suck it up butter cup, but mentally you're clearly not right. Thinking a pill is gonna fix that is not very smart and will ultimately fuck you up worse.. Hence why I'm surprised Peterson was taking Benzos. Those shakes in his hands will never go away. Ever. Then everyone thinks you're an alcoholic. Creates more anxiety.

Pills are the last resort. Period. You need to be at deaths door to start taking anything regularly. Besides OTC acid reflux pills from the occasional beer, I haven't had any other OTC or prescription in years. Maybe a decade. Not even an Advil or other pain reliever. You can't rely on that shit and need to feel the body and its pain. It's telling you something most the time. Don't mask it.

Drink some teas, they have excellent state of mind qualities.

Cerces(bitter melon vine and leaves)
Sorsop leaves
Genmaicha(toasted brown rice grains, and green tea)
Fresh Green Tea

any of these teas can mellow me out with just one sip.
