I was texting with my father in law (who lives in CA and drinks the Kool aid) we were discussing the beaches being closed and how CA now says no singing in churches.

His reply : better to be safe than sorry.

I told him Corona was the biggest joke in the world with a death rate lower than the flu. I sent him CDC info as well as proof the death rate plummeting and hospitalizations plummeting.

His reply: I know people who have does from this! (Which is likely a lie knowing him)

My reply: I'm sorry for your loss, but these are the facts. You can't live in fear forever.

He won't talk to me anymore LOL!!!

Sad how MSM has brainwashed some people. These psycho liberals cling on to every negative piece of info and pray it comes true.

I'll fry a shrimp for him today and say 5 "Our fathers", and 7 "Hail Marys".

The Bernaysian Maelstrom, it works, it really, really works! Unleash the Lemmings!

99% of cases are mild. Most deaths are older, sick, obese, etc.

I also have tried to explain to a liberal and they generally have the same reaction as your father in law.

People who are depressed tend to be most afraid and generally also liberal.

I can quickly determine the political views of someone just by talking about the virus with them.

Cower-in-place is the gateway excuse for country-wide vote-by-mail. Vote-by-mail is the easiest way to ramp up the voter fraud.

I think you're right.

Sneezing on mail in ballots, both coming and going, is a good way to achieve herd immunity.

Email him this video. If he doesn't think it's funny as hell, he's not worth knowing:

Just got back from Stinson Beach private part which is not closed. Beautiful and glorious day. The wealthier effete leftoids live here and celebrate by the beach in their hot tubs, kayaks and surf boards while voting to close the public beaches for the poor working class fuckers and showing off their TDS. Saw some good pussy though.

Btw. the beach was as packed as a public beach as they all invite their friends to show off. Hey I'm not complaining here but just in case anyone thought it was just a families gathering.

I was in Pismo Beach today. Beautiful day, lots of beach goers.

South Florida looks like Lima Peru on Christmas Eve 2001 the whole skyline looks like a battle.
You can cut the blackpowder smoke with a knife.

Desantis passed a law making fireworks legal for the 4th and New Years Eve.

It was packed at TNT fireworks all week. The sky of at least every other neighbor is setting off at least $350 worth of fireworks. Many much more.

Yeah. In Santa Cruz, Covid has become the 'great excuse' for the wealthy with their homes on the beach to cock block the hordes from 'over the hill'. These 'imitation beach bums' ride around on their beach bikes and their grungies, while having elaborate butt sniffing rituals for their similarly grunged down rich neighbors, and laugh about how Covid has allowed them to attain primacy again over the beaches. Listening to their LibbyFuck NIMBY conversations is precious.

You ever wonder why you don't have videos widespread of people on the internet suffering and coughing out their last lung? For 80% of the people, you are told to just go home and sit in your basement.

I also thought about that today. I don't see any patients talking about their recovery from this pandemic. I'd expect youtube to be filled with them, but nope.

A few short years in the gulag and your father-in-law will love you again.
17   BayArea   2020 Jul 5, 6:43am

It was more important for you to maintain a good relationship with your father-in-law.

That has been bothering me since the beginning. You would have thought the Media and the pro Chinese Flu mongers, would have been using them as War Heroes to inspire everyone to wash their hands, wear a mask and keep social distance.

It's a fucking Scam pure and simple.
As far as we know, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks are the only people on the planet that survived Rona, it kills everyone else.

We were best friends until my wife and I moved out of state. He's held it against us ever since.

I'd rather have honest conversations than PC conversations. I am open and willing to hear other perspectives, but libs are not. I refuse to play that bullshit game anymore.

I understand but in some cases I prefer to keep the peace than to take turns ramming each other’s political views down our throats. A relationship with a FIL is one of those cases.

There's a very clear group of people that should be afraid of this virus. I have a friend who is 40 and pre-diabetic, high blood pressure. He's sheltering in place until this is over. My father in law checks off nearly every box. We have been making sure to never be near him at the slightest cough for years. Everyone else, this virus is a complete nothingburger.

The fact that people are afraid to send their kids back to school is laughable. I don't even think we hit double digits for child deaths in this country yet. Have we? The Flu is much much more dangerous to children, yet we never threw a shitfit about that.
