From whitehouse.gov:

The President signed four sweeping executive orders on Friday, which together will significantly lower the cost of prescription drugs while increasing access to life-saving medications such as insulin:

The first order directs federally qualified health centers to pass along massive discounts on insulin and epinephrine from drug companies to low-income Americans.

The second order will allow the safe, legal importation of prescription drugs from Canada and other countries where the price for identical drugs is lower.

The third order will prohibit secret deals between drug manufacturers and pharmacy “benefit manager” middlemen, ensuring patients directly benefit from available discounts at the pharmacy counter.

The fourth order ensures the United States pays the lowest price available among economically advanced countries for Medicare Part B drugs. The United States often pays 80 percent more for these drugs than other developed nations.

On the other hand, big pharma stands to lose like a trillion dollars from this, so they are definitely going to put out a contract on Trump if they haven't already.

I hope the Secret Service is good, and loyal.

This is better for us the people than Obamacare. Because this actually helps.

You do realize this was one of the founding goals of Obamacare, and if he HAD just shoved it down our throats (as he was accused of) we would have this and many other healthcare reforms today. Instead he put it out for proper legislative consideration, and pharmaceutical, insurance, and hospital chain interests, aided and abetted by Republicans willing to do anything to make Obama fail, to turn it into the disgusting sausage we have today.

But Obama and Nancy didn't complain, we got what Obama gave us.

This is a problem: Health Care spending in US vs. UK, which have universal health care.
Glad that Trump see it.

The ACA was passed in March 2010, while Democrats controlled the presidency and both legislative branches. It's a stretch to blame Republicans for the resulting disaster. Its biggest failing, besides the unconstitutional "individual mandate," was requiring a percent of profit be put back into the plan, rather than capping pricing outright. (The resulting price increases were no surprise.)

I read Daily Kos at the time, and apart from FireDogLake and a few dissenters, the Democrats LOVED the ACA. It's their baby, and they deserve all the credit for its results.

Those are dishonest Charts.
The UK is broken down in Money, where as the US is only shown in percent.
Also America's social umbrellas are baked in our healthcare, Welfare, Pensions, Education and Other, also we're shown in Percent, because our GDP is much greater than UK and would show the Trillions we spend on Social services. While the UK carved out a whole redundant chunk(read fraud) to address that made up issues.

These orders are big changes to our drug system. I’m curious as to how the left wing media will spin them as negatives.

Pharma is usually 10% of healthcare, so very small number. I know left wants drugs free, and generally pharma donate little more money to republican , though it donates to both parties.
