Another whitewashing of history...
A population transfer? Really? C'mon man!
The young have NO CONCEPT of real history. The collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the resulting fighting between the Muslim Turks and the Christians is yet Nother sad chapter in the long going battle of two religious ideologies. Turks killed the opposition where they could, then forcibly deported millions more effectively sending women and children on a long slow death march. Armenians, Greeks, and other (predominantly Christian) communities were all but innialated.
Not to mention the Hagia Sophia was originally built as a Cathedral by Emperor Justinian in 532. Almost 40 years before prophet Muhammed was even born...
But of course we can't let a symbol of western culture simply stand as a museum now can we? And no we don't need to worry that the thousand year old Christian mosaics contained therein will remain in tact, because radical Islamic faction to which Erdon panders is known for their tolerance and acceptance of others....
