POLL FINDS HALF OF YOUNG VOTERS DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET STAMPS OR PRINT OUT FORMS AND SAY THEY LACK THE RESOURCES TO VOTE BY MAIL
by Kevin Ryan

More than half of voters under the age of 35 say they don't have the resources or knowledge they need to vote by mail in November according to a new poll.

Ben Wessel, executive director of NextGen America, the group that commissioned the poll, said of the surprising results, young people have a long way to go “when we look at the information about how to print out or, do you have the ability to print out a ballot request form or do you know how to get stamps or do you even know where to find more information?”

“A lot of Georgia voters are actually afraid to vote by mail,” twenty-two year-old activist Mary-Pat Hector said. “Many people who applied for an absentee ballot, never received that ballot via mail.”

The survey of 1,001 registered voters ages 18-34 found:

54% say they have access to a printer to print an application.
52% say they have stamps at home or know where to buy them to return a ballot by mail.
47% say they understand how to get a mail-in ballot.
42% say they are familiar with the mail-in ballot deadlines.

Sssh, we don't want them to know.

But also, I'm pretty sure they don't even need stamps to vote by mail. It's free.

Funny you mention age 35. I was thinking today. Well, do you recall that saying those dirty hippies (before I was born) used to say: "Never trust anyone over 30!".

Well...

At this point I believe, "Never trust a Democrat under 35 and verify those over 35!".

That's OK. The nice Democratic Party will do all of their voting for them.

You mean i cant order my ballot from Amazon?? As a Prime member I would expect I can just day "Alexa... cast my ballot" and its done. Heck I shouldn't even have to fill it in... who does paperwork in 2020?

Kidding aside, mark my words, mail in ballots are all part of the plan to move to online balloting.

At this point I believe, "Never trust a Democrat under 35 and still many over 35!".

I was saying that to Iwog, and Dan back in Patnet's heyday.

When I was growing up Never Trust anyone over 30
After Obama was elected
Never trust anyone under 30.

I edited it to make it more Reaganesque.

As I was writing my check at the H-E-B checkout a couple of weeks ago, the young man, late teens, was amazed that I was using cursive writing, he'd never learned it! The next week I asked another young man if he knew cursive and he didn't either. They probably think "cursive" has something to do with profanity.

Or that "cursive" is some kind of "font."

And if you will take $1 and some cigarettes, we'll let you vote for other imaginary people too!

The sentences are laughable though. And who paid the people to contact the skid row homeless people? I'm guessing they didn't concoct this idea on their own - they were dumb enough to get caught, right?

Sort of the same thing when Charlie Sheen was caught with a "Softball Sized Cocaine Ball" in his hotel room. I have no issue with people snorting coke. But I'd like to know who SUPPLIED Charlie with that life-threatening amount of coke. But that info was never reported. Funny, eh?
