I don't see what the problem is. That's the best fucking advice anyone can give him. He's going to get slaughtered if he debates.

It’s going to become clear (Before the election) that we are voting for Biden’s VP pick, not Biden.
Hence all the dithering about who to choose.
If he could have held on and been a viable candidate at least until the election, they could pick almost anyone: basically go with their dream POTUS pick who would assume power as soon as Dementia Joe had to retire from public life. But now that it appears Joe won’t be able to hide his rapid cognitive decline, and indeed the public will soon know the extent of the sad situation, the VP will be essentially “running for President.” Trump may as well debate the VP pick, as she is who he will actually be running against. And if it’s someone super polarizing and leftist, he is going to look like the “safe” option to likely voters. Basically all of the people who’ve been touted by the media for that job are super polarizing and have shown incredible leftist tendencies. They couldn’t be elected to that office on their own merits. Biden, or at least the Biden who used to be, could win based on his ability to be less offensive and more mainstream than Trump.
That isn’t going to work with any of these black female VP candidates.
And the DNC knows that. Klobuchar was their go-to girl for this potentiality, but the BLM people forced her to drop out from consideration in a very public way. Now they’re scrambling to find someone to fit the bill, and pickings are fucking slim.

I still don't think he makes it to election day either. Not dead or anything, I just think Dems see the writing on the wall. Having now flown, Covid is a nothing burger that is being completely blown out. There's no way they can keep the circus of BS news and reporting going another 3 months. They blew the load too early.

Dumbest logic ever. If your opponent is prone to lying, then let the media tear that apart after the debate, or, if you are on top of your game you could tear the opponent apart during the debate. Either way, a lying opponent should be a good thing to a skilled debater.
If Biden can't handle debating someone who lies, how can he handle anything else in this world? Practically everything is some shade of half-truth if not a flat-out lie.

I actually have a suspicion that Biden went off script when he got asked the debate question on whether he would commit to choosing a woman for VP. They probably had someone lined up for the spot and he fucked them over with his response. Thank god Tulsi Gabbard mauled Kamala at the debates.

Lockhart published an op-ed last week at CNN.com warning Biden that he should not debate Trump because the latter is prone to statement that fail the fact-checking test (original emphasis):
Whatever you do, don’t debate Trump. Trump has now made more than 20,000 misleading or false statements according to the Washington Post. It’s a fool’s errand to enter the ring with someone who can’t follow the rules or the truth. Biden will undoubtedly take heat from Republicans and the media for skipping the debates. But it’s worth the risk as trying to debate someone incapable of telling the truth is an impossible contest to win.
However, Biden has been criticized in past debate performances for his misstatements and outright fabrications. In a debate with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in 2008, Biden made several false claims, including the odd claim that the United States and France had “kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon.” (Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group with an associated political wing, is still very much there, and is a major part of Lebanon’s government.)
