Two months ago, opinion editor James Bennet left the New York Times after, among other things, publishing a senator’s claim that antifa had infiltrated Black Lives Matter protests.

Now, two months later, the press doesn’t just admit antifa’s existence. It’s giving them glamorous photo spreads.

The Washington Post on Saturday released an essay profiling Portland antifa. The piece never uses the word ‘riot’; ‘violence’ is only mentioned in reference to clashes with the right, not police or besieged courthouse personnel. But the heart of the article isn’t its text. It’s the Post’s determined effort to show that while far-left rioters may claim to be anti-fascism, they are definitely not anti-fashion. The essay showcases antifa’s use of bike helmets, bespoke shields, and leaf blowers to create a trendy aesthetic for 2020. Antifa chic, if you will.

As Portland experiences more than 70 days of violent protests, riots, arson attacks, soaring homicides & shootings, @washingtonpost actually published a glowing photo essay on #antifa riot fashion. What is wrong w/reporter @Marissa_Jae & the editors there? https://t.co/uiqmwXT9cY pic.twitter.com/lJhrPW6avC

...this piece may have a hidden agenda. For all our pretensions to rationality and civilization, humans are visual and emotional creatures. We like what is beautiful, and abhor what is ugly. The Post wants to exploit this, using slick photos give the antifa clique a positive brand.

And as mugshots from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office make clear, slick photos are exactly what antifa needs most:

Gaze at the photos long enough, and you do start to think that antifa has a ‘type’. It just doesn’t seem to be the one the Washington Post is promoting.

Eww.

Gross.
We knew there was something wrong with those kids, but not that they advertised the fact with their very faces!

I wonder if this was the goal behind the huge increase in autism? To create a bunch of ugly, dumb, easily manipulated white people to turn into anarchists. I seriously wouldn't put it past the elite.

That photo in the top-left looks like what we'd draw on people's pictures in school when we were bored. Mustaches, scars, goatees, etc.

Or maybe she passed out at a party and someone thought it would be funny to get out the Sharpie marker.

AntiFa is just the Orwell-newspeak for Neo-Marxists.

AntiFa is the enforcer and RICO arm of the Democrat Party. Its funded by Democrat groups like Act Blue and Bend the Arc.

And its engaging in organized crime style intimidation. The AntiFa riots will continue unless the undecided voters select Biden for President.

The "protection money" for this racket is to get Trump out of the White House and put in their Trojan Horse, Joe Biden.

Just like the Symbionese Liberation Army, they always wear those insolent little smirks. A generation apart but driven by the same impulses:

There is a distinct psychopathology to it. It's an actual mental disorder.

These people are are definite dangers both to others and themselves. They should be incarcerated to protect both themselves and the public.

Funny you should mention that, Pat.

That 80s Russian defector mentioned that a lot of subversives just 'hate everything' and have 'psychopathic' traits.

Upon successful government-wide subversion, they are to be liquidated as top priority.

It's ancient school that you can show up just about anywhere with trunks full of money or gold and cause havoc in the local populations. I saw it at UC, where all you had to do is drum up a few chaffs with signs and they were eager to scream, yell, throw bottles etc all completely without any belief at all in what they were doing.

When you actually pay them, much less give them their cosplay costumes, things get ratcheted up a few notches.

Pretty much holy screed from the intelligence horn books. Rinse, repeat. "Send gold, we need more riots!"

Yep, that's why that crazy fuck Lazlo Lazerus or whatever his Russian Bagel name was, the one who made kulaks dig pits till they dropped, was the first to go. Yezhov, the guy running the peak of the purge, was also killed, and many thought he was a crazy fuck as well. He was known as the deadly dwarf, and I think he's the one airbrushed out of that famous picture of Stalin standing by a canal or something.

Of course, Stalin the Georgian ex-Theology Student also murdered Tukachevsky, the brilliant general, and caused the death/capture of millions of Russians by pausing his mobile warfare reforms they developed while training WITH Weimar AND Nazi controlled Army units in the Ukraine in early-mid 30s.

NKVD leadership fate is very instructive: Yagoda, shot 1938; Yezhov, shot 1940; Beriya, shot 1953; nearly all their deputies were shot as well.
