Leftists destroyed America's mental health system in the late 60s and 70s.It got its start with JFK's last piece of legislation signed appropriately on 10/31/63, The Community Mental Health Act. "Community" had nothing to do with it as it took control of mental hospitals away from the states and turned it over to the federal government as the philosophy at the time was the federal government has the solution to every problem of human existence. It's what led to the Great Society social engineering schemes.
