Maybe it's better just wait for a nice day somewhere else in the country. This shit is happening every year now for months on end.

I have nothing against heat waves: if I'm working - AC is keeping the house chill, if I'm not - I'm chilling in the pool with a margarita in hand. The rest of the shit is annoying AF though.

Might as well break out the Camels.

Repack your bug out bags, those of who who are still knee deep in Needles and Poop.

It's all part of California's de-evolution into a third world shithole.

Rat heap crowded populations also add to the charm.

I started smelling smoke yesterday evening here in the 'vale. Still pretty smoky today.

At least the nighttime temperature is cooling down. I cool down all night, close all my windows in the morning, and pretend my shack has A/C. Last Friday, at one point, temperature was 103 outside and only 84 inside.

The past hot beach and tennis days in SF were great. Luckily we're getting just in time to the east coastal summer cabin as the smoke was pretty thick this am when we left. I hope they can get them under control quickly, some good wineries and beautiful hoods in wine countries being threatened.

I thought 'the weather' alone sells any shack in Bayarea!

I used to think the great advantage here is the weather, but I'm really sick of this shit now. Palls of smoke in the air every year?

I want to live somewhere where it RAINS every summer instead of catches fire every summer.

Yeah the lack of seasons gets a bit old. But maybe it's just getting bored of living in the same place forever, esp. such a transient one. Either way it's a perfect time to move as most of CA is staring into the leftoid created abyss. But I had most of my best and a few of my worst years here no doubt. Californication will always be a magic place despite leftoid destruction.

Trust me. No you don't.

Weather back East gets very old very fast. It's hot, muggy and buggy in the summer and cold, wet and dark in the winter. You have to condition your air with heat or AC for about 9-10 months of the year. They only get about 2 months of California weather in early Spring/Fall which I would consider nice.

California has perfect Mediterranean climate if you are fortunate enough to live by the coasts.

Yeah, hmm, those rolling blackouts ended right quick after Trump called out the scam. Will there be prosecutions? Nahhhhhhhh!! Just California crooks being their usual lovable selves.

I'm from Chicago, and then Michigan. I know. The Midwest is looking a lot better now.

But maybe moving north would fix things. Kinda interested in Arcata, or the Oregon cost (not Portland, nope), or maybe near Olympia, WA.

I have lived in Massachusetts my whole life, with stints outside of the New England region: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, international business travel but I've never really left the Bay State because it has everything I need except for legal hoeing.

But since Montreal is just a few hours north, it's not a big deal esp before the days of the travel ban.

I fly into Boston to go to the summer Maine cabin. Just got there a few days ago. Usually rent a car or via turo but rates are pretty cheap right now. May move to the east coast at some point but it's def way more humid. Summer and autumn in coastal Maine is beautiful though. So Connecticut or Massachusetts are in play. Still left coast climate is hard to beat, but the leftoids have made the decision a bit easier. Napa/Sonoma in play too, but the fires are too much the past years. We'll see.

Don’t forget militant gays and blacks and feminists screaming obscenities at everyone, while government kisses their asses.

True but compared to Portland or Seattle SF has been pretty peaceful lately.

Here's the story, in New England (including MA), ppl may be politically liberal but culturally speaking, they're conservative.

In other words, the idea of tolerating looters and mob violence is not acceptable to most New Englanders, even if they're lifelong Democrats. This is why I have to go to Montreal to bang hoes because the Yankee culturally conservative side doesn't tolerate hoeing even if it's a private arrangement between two consenting adults. The 'not in my neighborhood' is very strong around here.

And yeah, July is disgustingly humid. My favorite time is mid-September to November.

Does this mean that Trump wins in MA?

It means that unlike in prior elections, Biden does not clear 55%, which is low for a Democrat in MA. Realize, John Kerry got 62% back in 2004 and he was a local.

I suspect that when Biden wins the big Blue State, his numbers are somewhere between 52% to 54% which by big Blue State standards, makes him a Walter Mondale type, a loser.
