Here is the FB page of the local DC BLM. As you can see from the comments that are sympathetic to the shot criminal, people are implicitly demanding affirmative action law enforcement, i.e., a relaxation of standards when crimes are committed by black thugs. I shit you not.

Officers found people in and around a vehicle and upon seeing police, two people fled on foot. One of them pulled out a gun while being pursued on foot, police said, and an officer fired his gun and wounded him. He has been identified as 18-year-old Deon Kay, of Southeast.

Kay was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other suspect escaped and was not apprehended.

Police also arrested Marcyelle Smith, 19, of Southeast, on a charge of carrying a pistol without a license; and Deonte Brown, 18, of Southeast, on a charge of having no permit.
