I will begin with a letter to the clothing company, Patagonia:

Dear Yvon Chouinard and Patagonia product designers, vendor managers, customer service agents, and warehouse workers:

I have been a customer of Patagonia since 1984, starting with Yvon Chouinard's excellent Black Diamond mountaineering gear. Over the years, our family has purchased tens of thousands of dollars of Patagonia gear for climbing, skiing, backpacking, fly fishing, trail running, and kitesurfing. For most of the last decade, much of my daily work wear has been made by Patagonia, and more and more have I purchased it directly from your website, Patagonia.com, which is where I went today to purchase more underwear for my wife.

I was immediately faced with the following message:

"Patagonia has struggled to find the right words to respond to the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Tony McDade, Dijon Kizzee, and far too many others."

Murders? Maybe, if you are being told what to think, but certainly not indicated from the evidence I have seen. However, all of that aside, in the United States of America, we had until recently an important concept that people are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I was deeply saddened to see my favorite outdoor clothing retailer acting as both judge and jury in the criminal case of these five deaths, without seeing the evidence nor hearing the testimony of the witnesses and defendants. In the USA, we have a right to a trial by a jury of our peers. I am sure that the world travelers at Patagonia have, like me, visited many nations in the world that do not have this right, many of them Marxist, as is most of the leadership of Black Lives Matter. To be arrested for any reason in one of these nations, guilty or innocent, and face trial is not something I would wish upon anyone. Even worse, is to be lynched by a mob, with no trial whatsoever.

You concluded your virtue-signaling effort with the following sentence:

"We are here for the work of forging a more just world."

More just? In fact, your pre-judging makes the world less just!

Understand that I, and many others, will never buy your products, because you support the Marxists at BLM, mob rule, and the destruction of The Rule of Law.

Sincerely,

hedgeless_horseman

In addition to Patagonia, I have cancelled a few more brands from whom I have long made purchases. Here is a brief list:

Ford Motor Company - I am a third generation Ford Man, but I will never buy another Ford again, as the Ford Foundation, which has both the current President of Ford Motor Company and Henry Ford, III, on its board, apparently gave the Marxists at Black Lives Matter $100 million dollars.

Dr. Bronner's - The soap maker will donate an additional $100,000 to BLM this year and pledge to donate a total of $1 million over the next ten years.

AirBNB - Donating $500,000 to Black Lives Matter Foundation and other organizations, and matching employee donations.
