I have no idea what you circled back there, but ouchie ouchie ouchie !!!! Probably should hold the soldering iron by the the handle instead of the hot part!

I think it's a squirrel. Or a tiny kangaroo.

A toy dinosaur.

Little Miss Asbestos hands.

I bet the cat has bare spots from solder splatter.

Also there's absolutely nothing on a modern motherboard, that you can solder or desolder with that Iron.
You would destroy the circuit and the components you were trying to take off.

When I was about 12, a big blob of solder fell from my 100 watt solder gun and stuck to my thigh. It took all summer to heal fully, and over 4 decades later a scar is still faintly visible.

Looks like a typical vo-tech student who enters the school to find "a job" not because they have any latent skill, talent, and interest in the field. These people go through the motions of their class, but never build a comprehensive mental rubric of the vocation, just a mostly forgotten string of facts and procedures. They fail at sticking a position in the vocation, and usually get knocked up and dip from the workforce entirely, only to take an unskilled min wage job when the subsidized child music stops.

Yeah, it looks like some el cheapo plug in Radio Shack soldering iron. A proper station including de-soldering etc. with a volt meter/continuity tester would be much more elaborate and have adjustable temperature with many fine soldering tips. She doesn't even have any solder or component pulling/cutting tools.

Maybe she thinks it's a magic electronic phallus that men use, and it will work by itself.

"This thing is worthless. It doesn't even vibrate."

Must be getting a bit hot in the lab. Shouldn't a few buttons be unfastened?

Nothing worse than extra large garbanzos flopping around on delicate circuitry.

My Heathkit Transceiver I built in the 1970s.

Yes! Nerd boys like that.

It's called a tranny-ceiver, now, you primitive sexist!

Topless electronics shops: their time has come.

They have ceiling lights, but they don't have semiconductors and passive electronic components.

Meh, my favorite old school electronics shop turned successful digital age store is allelectronics.com. As an experimenter kid in the 70s I'd love reading their catalogs on the toilet, along with James (cum Jameco) Electronics and Digi-Key.

This can not be real particularly touching metal that close. I burned my hand quite a few times. Either she is trying to get some stuff out from the board with unplugged iron or it's a simple photo op.

The thing on the counter that's circled is the base station for the soldering iron she is holding in her hand. If you follow the cord below the plane of the table you will see that she has it firmly plugged into her ass.

I know that women can solder, because a lot of them make jewelry, which requires soldering and polishing. Maybe the motivations and incentives just have to be right.

I remember touring the Colorado Springs Hewlit Packard plant back in the day. The place was full of women who did soldering. When I asked about the near totality of women on the assembly, I was told their small hands give them an advantage soldering in tight areas.

Yes, you see audio component assembly lines, and a lot of them have female workers. They excel at the attention to detail with repetitive tasks.
