In about two to three years, you will be able to buy a house in downtown Seattle for the price of the back taxes

Detroit number two.

They Mayor only Vetoed it originally to keep it in the news and spotlight longer. Jenny didn't actual oppose the measure.
She just did some Chief Justice Roberts word salad bullshit about a flaw in the process. Proof the Deepstate and Bad State Actors meet often and discuss their MO and SOP for Subverting America and our Republic.

The Seattle City Council has voted to override the mayor’s three vetos of bills that called for funds to be diverted from the police department into social programs.

The council voted 7-2 in a vote on Tuesday following three hours of debate; a compromise bill was rejected.

Mayor Jenny Durkan vetoed the police budget bill in August but said in statement: “This veto was because the bills as passed did not have the type of collaboration that I think we will have going forward, and that I’m hopeful we will have going forward.”

Come on, I have a hard time believing that. Houses are selling like hot cakes. Want to know why? THERE'S NO INVENTORY!!!

Want to know why there's no inventory " THERE'S NO AFFORDABLE HOUSING BEING BUILT ANYWHERE IN THE USA THAT I AM AWAR OF!!

Really? Detroit is affordable. Baltimore is fucking affordable.

It said 100 cops will be fired out of their 1400. 3.4 out of 400M funding.

I don't think it will be catastrophic, but I have no doubt crime will rise, and the city will deteriorate further. Maybe more so due to sane people leaving, while being replaced by more wokies and homeless who will vote for the continuance of this style of govt.

I cant wait to see it crumble, serving as a lesson to others.

Because you will die if you move there.

My sister lived in Detroit for a while just after she was married and had a baby. Very cheap! Beautiful old house.

She didn't mind hearing the nightly gunfire, being kind of tough herself.

But when her father-in-law came to visit, a couple of young black men beat him up on their front lawn. After that, they moved out.

Black people are far more racist than white people. White people (and everyone else) are just running away from black violence.

Seattle is not exactly going into law&order direction either.

So essentially, cost of living in Boston or Detroit is just level 3 body armor, defensive training, bulletproofing your house/car, and carry weapon plus AMMO? Not bad.

Maybe we need to import large quantities of our kind in groups that will settle neighborhoods and not put up with the hoodlum gang banger shit. Go vigilante on their ass. But then, prices on property will rise....

I've heard it's a good sign for a bad neighborhood when a former US Marine moves in and hoists the Marine flag.

It is not just the gangs, but the politicos. If you were to get a group to do this, and established a several block area of rising gentrified property, you would have the politicians to worry about. They would levy taxes and other burdens under the guise you "stole" ethnic property. Look what happens to anyone with money in such blue areas, unless you are part of the connected political class.
