I've been saying that for years.

The ending was good. Covid aside, why do people physically pay money to go to a movie theater anymore? I have 110" screen in the basement, average speakers and receiver and it sounds better than most theaters I've been to run by high schoolers with a non-existent manager. If movies are a hobby, not going to a theater for a year would pay for your own home theater system no problem. Just be a bit more patient with movie releases to the public.

I enjoy the hell out of myself hanging out with other people. It's why I have a broken heel right now. I don't get spending probably $180 per family just to get into average seats at a baseball game. Then parking. Then food. It turns into a $500 night for fucks sake. And now to watch them kneel and pretend care about black people shooting each other (which is the actual problem).

Unless invited for free and everything else handled, I have no intention of attending another sporting event in my life. Maybe a minor league baseball team or spring training, but fuck professional sports. My kids play sports, but aren't fanatics which I have pushed because it's stupid. Covid is going to change a lot of things. I think attendance is going to plummet when things get to the "new normal" versus previous times. Ratings are already taking a ball punch across the board. Gambling and fantasy is the only thing keeping these leagues afloat at this point.

I like seeing movies 1. In the daytime 2. Independent, foreign, etc. 3. I don’t bring a friend or a “date” usually.

I could walk to the little movie house and spend a couple of hours, and enjoy myself.

I don’t see many Hollywood movies, especially super heroes. But I did like Ironman and Captain America, and the Batman with Christian Bale.

I have a Roku channel “Classic Reel” with a bunch of old classics and B movies, for $3/month.

I have Vudu for newer movies; I watched “The Lighthouse” with Willem Defoe and my female friend hated it, even blamed me for the gross out she got. I just thought it would be interesting.

Moral: watch movies alone.
