All of these places are still in San Francisco but they are no longer cute and clean. They have been taken over by thuggish lowlifes (yes lowlifes) that care nothing for their own or the environment's health and cleanliness. It's disgusting.
The solution is to enforce the laws and get these people off the street. They don't deserve to live in a beautiful place like what San Francisco was and could again be. Build them some good barracks out in Bakersfield.
Kevin Chan was in front of his shop when a man wearing a black sweatshirt pushed a tourist across the alleyway with a strong shoveHe was a black guy and you can see him stalking the white guy and getting in his way deliberately, trying to start something. Young blacks have become so emboldened that there's nothing they won't do even in a crowd of tourists. It reminds me of a time when I was in Fair Park in Dallas in the mid-70's, not during the fair. We were close to a full arena where a show was going on and a tall black guy with a black girl walked right up behind my friend's back to the point he was touching him--it was such a familiar thing to do I thought he was a friend and was kidding him. When my friend felt his presence, he turned around and couldn't help bumping him and I realized he didn't know him. The black guy became defensive and said you touched me--my friend was speechless and I realized the other guy was trying something. However, we were visiting with another fellow and I guess the black guy realized he was outnumbered and left. He and the girl wandered into the arena I guess expecting to score something, but the crowd intimidated him. My ears were absolutely scorched when he said to the girl "let's f**k this place" and left! I couldn't believe the word that came out of his mouth!
Kevin Chan was in front of his shop when a man wearing a black sweatshirt pushed a tourist across the alleyway with a strong shove.
Footage shows Chan talking at the man and lifting his shirt to show his weapon (watch the video below).
"I see something that isn’t normal, and I prevented it from going even further," said Chan, who welcomes tourists into his shop where fortune cookies have been freshly made since 1962.
The police were called but Chan didn't file a report as the tourist had left the scene by the time authorities arrived. ABC 7 blurred the face of the man who pushed the tourist because he wasn't arrested.
Chan is sharing news of the incident because he feels the city isn't doing enough to ensure the safety of residents and tourists.
"This city used to be clean and safe," he said. "The people now, they don’t want to come. If they don’t want to come, what kind of city are we? [The city] spends all the money on the homeless. They need to spend the money on the safety."
