It is a wake up call for an anti-obesity educational initiative. Being obese makes one vulnerable to a host of illnesses. Imagine if diabetes was caused by a virus.

Hospitalized patient death rate has plummeted from a high of 26.6% to a current 7.5%.
That’s almost a quarter of the previous death rates, and fewer people are being hospitalized with the better treatments anyway. I think we could have the same number of cases as we’ve had all over again and lose less than 20% as many people.
My prediction is that the death toll caps out around 250,000 which is one twelfth of the expected annual total of deaths in the USA. You e got to die of something!
