Listen to Pollwatcher Matt Silver, who watched in Philly for 16 hours straight. From the big Press Conference yesterday at noon.
He describes how Poll workers, after counting the ballots, took them to a machine on the far side of the room, 100 feet away. He observed them stripping off the signed portion from the ballot, permanently separating them, so it is now impossible to match the signature with the ballot.
He also went on to describe from his distant vantage point many feet away, that at best he could see, some boxes of mail ballots were "Normal". Some filled out with blue pen, others with black, some had a fatter point, some more slender, etc.
But other boxes of ballots seemed to have all been filled with the same pen (same color) - an entire box of ballots marked with blue pen, an entire box marked only with black pen. These were all mail ballots, so it's not the same as physical ballots from the same in person voting center where voters were all lent pens from the same box of 25 Black Bic pens from Staples by poll workers. You'd have to believe that hundreds of people all filled out consecutive hundreds of ballots at home/work and they all mysteriously were using the same color pen with the same nib/point size, one after the other after the other for the entire box of hundreds. More statistical absurdity.
Silver also said he had to leave and put his tablet away or they wouldn't let him remain. He also said some poll workers job seemed to be watching THEM, and if anybody pulled a phone in the room these poll 'workers' would notify the police in the room. In other words, they were very concerned about any pictures or video above and beyond counting ballots.
