Back in 2017 like many investors I have done deep dive into crypto read lots of articles etc . Infact I did a course in blockchain.I believe in blockchain but for BTC I shared my reservations why I am still not convinced it is beyond my risk appetite.

Also I stick to investment fundamentals, BTC Investors tend to think that there will always be buyers whom they can sell at a higher price than their cost. It looks true because many have been doing it, but this is obviously incorrect. When the prices appreciate beyond the affordability of investors, there will be no buyers and prices come crashing down.

Not much more fundamental then the banks being able to play in this arena. https://www.occ.gov/topics/charters-and-licensing/interpretations-and-actions/2020/int1170.pdf Tix2fun says

Most buy fractions of BTC so that is not much of a problem. I personally trade crypto similar to how I trade currency strong against the weak and I am not afraid to sell which is the problem many have due to lack of experience.

Wookie, why would you have sold everything at 18k? Its over 19k today and apparently hit a new all time high.

I don't worry about things like that anymore. I'll leave it up to you. Sell when it's up. When it goes down, just hope the elevator is able to stop at your floor.

For the last several days/weeks RSI comparison BTC off the rails being the strongest currency on earth short, medium and long especially medium and long... 100%+ stronger then the next in line ;) Lots of people haven't learned how to ride price for all it's worth and lose lots of profits leaving them on the table.

145   Bitcoin   2020 Nov 30, 3:07pm

Yep Cash, and its very easy for Anti-Bitcoiners to say, "I would have sold", after the correction. The fact that Bitcoin hit all time highs a few days after makes this all the better...

Obviously, telling people they would have perfectly timed the market after the fact is the easiest thing one can do. A 7 year old can do that.

Sorry to say this but some of the comments here are just an embarrassment (Mainly coming from Wookie and Onvcation).
146   Cash   2020 Nov 30, 3:55pm

Point being professional traders I know many times buy when the old high is broken which depending on the broker BTCs ATH is yet to be broken on some exchanges just wait till 20k is snapped ;) Back in the day when BTC made that ATH Bitfenex was the highest volume exchange out of them all, and it hasn't met the high water mark yet
https://invst.ly/s-lgu Now what most are not aware of is there were way less US traders because it was such a hassle and US traders couldn't trade the best exchanges however now Coinbase is 1 of the largest if not the largest exchange traded and is dominated with US traders lots has happened and most will miss out on the sweet spot (now) because they roll with their ignorant opinions instead of a real working market theory based on best practice knowledge.

What the hell are you talking about? You talk about it being the best performing "asset" currently, yet negate the massive volatility of it. If I bought at $9k I'd have sold at $18k. WTF is another $1k? So my point stands and I'd have made money.

Are you guys in high school or something? I don't have to chase dreams in unstable markets. I'm good. You guys can enjoy $10k. I'll enjoy more is all.

You're joking right??? 18K is the price of BTC in US dollars. At this moment I would dump it. You make no sense in assuming people's finances. You tout a $10k gain which is great, but it's a nothing burger in the realm of making money. You're bragging about something I did when I was 23. Come back to this thread when you've made 6 figures off your spreadsheet from the current trade you're pumping. Gloat about it. I'll take it.

Until you've sold and gotten the money, you've made nothing. You have no gains. I hope you don't learn the hard way counting funny money before you actually capitalize on it.

Just to be upfront as a trader not an investor I am momentarily considering going to cash and the main reason is this chart of the DX https://invst.ly/t0wg-
USD is BTC's quote currency, not hard pegged like most all fiat in that regard but is independent and floats, however as a quote currency USD strength does matter imo.
USD is oversold via RSI on the daily so there is a decent possibility of some impulse buying to prior support and if this ends up being the case crypto should give some discount pricing. If I were just looking to get into this market I would consider waiting until price breached the last high quoted on the exchange you are using or price to tilt to some degree
TBD.
165   Cash   2020 Dec 4, 9:02am

I went flat yesterday which has payed dividend with discount prices across the board about 7.5% so far however there are decent supports lower at 18000/17800/17500/16800+/- so depending on the price reaction, the USD among a few other indications if/when those levels are hit Ill start testing some buys. I am shaking the dice that prices are still stumbling a bit so I can load up on as many XRP as possible the 11th or there about on my Kraken acct for the Flare Networks’ airdrop of Spark tokens 1:1 on Dec.12. The XRP coins need to be on a participating platform on the 11th then can be taken off and/or sold or what ever on the 13th. Ripple will take a snapshot of all proper holders sometime on the 12 and the your acct will be credited with the Spark tokens sometime after.

“The multitude of regulated crypto exchanges and custodians has eliminated the ‘career risk’ for institutional investors,” PwC’s Hong Kong-based Global Crypto Leader Henri Arslanian said in an interview."

"JPMorgan Chase & Co. strategists point to the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust -- which invests in the digital coin and tracks its price -- as a potential window into wider crypto ardor beyond the retail demand from Millennials."

"The Grayscale vehicle’s assets have swollen to more than $10 billion from $2 billion at the start of December last year, its website and factsheets show. It drew almost $720 million of inflows in the third quarter, according to an investment report, which said institutions -- dominated by hedge funds -- accounted for 81% of the money coming into the firm’s digital-asset funds.

Guggenheim Partners LLC last month reserved the right for its $5.3 billion Macro Opportunities Fund to invest in the Grayscale trust."
