All my buddies that have gotten it were asymptomatic or had a minor 2 day bout of it like you mention. 1 guy had it bad but was a heavy pot head (smoking) and doc told him to quit while he had the rona. Between his lungs and not being able to get high and having withdrawals (yes, it can happen with modern weed) his case was rough. He's also a bit of a pussy and 50-60lbs overweight for his height. He was down for about 10 days not functioning. No hospital stay though. 35 years old for perspective.

I think I'm approaching over 30 now of known people that have had it. I'm younger(ish) but it's really been a nothing burger for my peers that have gotten it age ~28 to 45. Loss of smell/taste is the biggest beef, but somehow people forget that happens with most influenza strains anyway. Weird how the media can spin something so obvious and people just eat it up (but can't taste it, lol).

Yup. My neighbor that's a nurse just got it about an hour or two ago. I'll report back on reactions if there are any. Round 1 dose. We'll see. I'll risk it. Not old enough to risk the other end of a brand new vaccine #death. For geezers it might make sense. I ain't touching it. CV-19 simply isn't that deadly in my age range by a long shot. I'd die in a car accident before Covid in the next 10 years.

Thanks. I'm still in the first week and have a bit of brain fog/dizziness, and no smell/taste. I'm just going to use this holiday break to fully recover and take it easy. I'm really into fitness and weight lifting, so it'll be hard to recover but I'm ready for the challenge.

I'm more worried about other side effects that you have to live with the rest of your life. We literally have zero long term studies on it. I'm sure Biden will blame Trump when it comes out the vaccine has some side effects. But hey, just trust it.

Not sure where the information is that people die daily from vaccines. VAERS stats show most vaccine deaths are children under 1. Deaths of adults from vaccines is a rounding error... and bad covid outcomes are definitely higher than a vaccine complication. Since kids don’t really have bad reactions to covid but are most likely to have bad vaccine reactions. I do believe children shouldn’t be required to get a covid vaccine. I’m a stats guy.... covid complications long term are as unknown as the vaccine.

7B+ people.... you don't think one dies a day from getting a vaccine? Any vaccine? Across the globe? Vaccines can and will kill people and potentially cause other problems. It's a calculated risk with a very, very low rate of issue. But it still happens. My kids have gotten every vaccine recommended. They won't get this one. Neither will I. Not worth it at this point in time. It's not a deadly virus for those under 60. Those that died under 60 likely had some other health issue.

I did already take a multi-vitamin every day anyway, and I got decent time in the sun each week since I live in SCAL. So, I don't think my Vitamin D levels (or other vitamin levels) were deficient, but what do I know.

I heard the NPR report on this. I think they made a mistake by reporting the spokeperson for the Marin County hosiptal. But only intelligent people who are already doubting the scam would have paid attention. They reported 100% capacity, 40% of which are COVID patients and also that there are 29 beds. The spokeperson also said that this is typical occurrence in a bad flu season.

Speaking of flu, where did all the flu go this year? Did it magically become COVID?

Truth. I can't find anything to back up these rumours.

The nurse from Tennessee who fainted is said to be fine. She just wants to hide from the publicity for a while. Her hospital says she is not dead just wants some privacy.

A lot of you guys must not get out much or have friends if you still don’t know anybody who has covid or was hospitalized from it. I’ve had the flu and never lasted more than 2 days. Many healthy 30 year olds I know were sick for a week- 2 weeks. That alone proves to me it’s definitely worse than the flu.

I do think treatments have improved dramatically if you catch it early which is why deaths have slowed compared to number contracting it. But I have family who are nurses and doctors and they are hiring everywhere... if people weren’t sick they wouldn’t be so busy.

The vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting Covid-19, it just lessens the symptoms. I think it’s perfectly reasonable if you are not in a high risk group to have a wait and see attitude about getting the vaccine.

I've had a bunch of friends and my wife now knows into the 30-40's of people that have gotten Covid. I'd say 40-50 people combined. These are people we personally know and during normal times would see once a month on average. Ages 6-70. Only one had it "rough" because he smoked pot and the doc told him to quit. Literally an hourly smoker of the most high THC content stuff, so he had issues, though no hospital. Most didn't even know they had it or thought it was a sinus infection or allergies.

Anecdotal, but that's what you're doing. And if you've gotten an actual flu strain, it's highly unlikely that you have symptoms for only two days. The 5 or 6 times I've gotten a bad flu I've been out for a week physically with lingering effects for another week. Sniffles and cough. Sometimes all winter after I get it with a 1-2 month dry cough.

In my sample size, Covid has been less of a pain than the regular flu strains we're used to. Biggest beef, and I think this is psychological because of the media, is the loss or taste and/or smell. That happens with all other flu strains, but with Covid that was the biggest problem all our friends have complained out and was the only reason they knew they had it (confirmed positive test).

From what I remember reading, it's because the vagina itself has some kind of immune response to it to keep women from getting infected with anything other than sperm.

Not totally wrong... just didn’t realize the protein is created by your own body via the mRNA instructions. It’s definitely newer tech, but every doctor and nurse in the world is going to get this vaccine so we are screwed as a society if anything bad happens when we have zero doctors and nurses left.
