An incoming advisor for Joe Biden’s COVID-19 response team had ties to a mask-making firm which advertised on his podcast.

Andy Slavitt, who hosted a bi-weekly podcast about COVID-19 called “In the Bubble” featured promotions for Livinguard, a Swiss firm that makes medical-grade masks. As Axios reports:

Slavitt said during one episode: “Why I like the Livinguard masks and why I wear them is ‘cuz they actually deactivate coronavirus thanks to their incredible patented technology that’s been shown to mitigate the spread of microorganisms like bacteria and viruses.”
