Are Face Masks Effective? The Evidence

https://swprs.org/covid-masks-review/

There is increasing evidence that the novel coronavirus is transmitted, at least in indoor settings, not only by droplets but also by smaller aerosols. However, due to their large pore size and poor fit, cloth masks cannot filter out aerosols (see video analysis below): over 90% of aerosols penetrate or bypass the mask and fill a medium-sized room within minutes.
The WHO admitted to the BBC that its June 2020 mask policy update was due not to new evidence but “political lobbying”: “We had been told by various sources WHO committee reviewing the evidence had not backed masks but they recommended them due to political lobbying. This point was put to WHO who did not deny.” (D. Cohen, BBC Medical Corresponent).
To date, the only randomized controlled trial (RCT) on face masks against SARS-CoV-2 infection in a community setting found no statistically significant benefit (see above). However, three major journals refused to publish this study, delaying its publication by several months.
An analysis by the US CDC found that 85% of people infected with the new coronavirus reported wearing a mask “always” (70.6%) or “often” (14.4%). Compared to the control group of uninfected people, always wearing a mask did not reduce the risk of infection.
Researchers from the University of Minnesota found that the infectious dose of SARS-CoV-2 is just 300 virions (viral particles), whereas a single minute of normal speaking may generate more than 750,000 virions, making cloth face masks unlikely to prevent an infection.
Japan, despite its widespread use of face masks, experienced its most recent influenza epidemic with more than 5 million people falling ill just one year ago, in January and February 2019. However, unlike SARS-CoV-2, the influenza virus is easily transmitted by children, too.
Austrian scientists found that the introduction, retraction and re-introduction of a face mask mandate in Austria had no influence on the coronavirus infection rate.
In the US state of Kansas, the 90 counties without mask mandates had lower coronavirus infection rates than the 15 counties with mask mandates. To hide this fact, the Kansas health department tried to manipulate the official statistics and data presentation.
Contrary to common belief, studies in hospitals found that the wearing of a medical mask by surgeons during operations didn’t reduce post-operative bacterial wound infections in patients.
During the notorious 1918 influenza pandemic, the use of cloth face masks among the general population was widespread and in some places mandatory, but they made no difference.
Asian countries with low covid infection rates, most of them neighboring China, benefited not from face masks but mainly from early border closures. This is confirmed by Scandinavian countries Norway, Finland and Denmark, which didn’t introduce mask mandates but closed borders early and saw very low covid infection and death rates, too.
German scientists found that in and on N95 (FFP2) masks, the novel coronavirus remains infectious for several days, much longer than on most other materials, thus significantly increasing the risk of infection by touching or reusing such masks.

Face Freedom! I like it.

‘Million Maskless March’ Planned For South Florida To Protest For Face Freedom

American freedom lovers will gather in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday April 10 to protest for Face Freedom. (READ: Numbers In The New CDC Report DESTROY The Case For Mask Mandates).
“You are invited to the Million Maskless March and Mask Burning, Saturday April 10, 2021 at 3pm at the Corner of A1A and Las Olas in Ft Lauderdale!,” writes protest organizer Chris Nelson, who has organized viral flash mobs at chain stores that re-popularized Twisted Sister’s protest anthem “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

“April 10 marks one year of mask tyranny in Broward County and we will mark that date with a celebration of freedom! It will feature recognition and prizes for those who have faithfully endured this last year, addresses from local leaders and activists and most importantly (and fun) a mask burning! The mask burning is in full cooperation with local law enforcement and will be done in a safe and controlled manner. Following the mask burning we will March north on A1A, make a sharp left at Seabreeze and march back to where we began. The event will be over by 5pm. April is a very busy time for Ft Lauderdale Beach and this is exactly why this location was chosen. Jesus said we should not hide our light, but show it to the whole world. Our goal is for people to see us and be inspired to join in!,” Nelson wrote.

A chemical that causes penile shrinkage was found in face masks, and Dr. Fauci famously said that Americans do not need to wear masks to guard themselves from Coronavirus before he changed his tune and fought for the extended masking of the human people. Christian actor Kirk Cameron recently defied the globalist establishment by hosting Maskless Christmas Caroling events. Though President Donald Trump is not involved in the anti-mask protest, he released a statement Monday dunking all over Dr. Anthony Fauci. President Trump said, “Dr. Fauci also said we didn’t need to wear masks, then a few months later he said we needed to wear masks, and now, two or three of them. Fauci spent U.S. money on the Wuhan lab in China—and we now know how that worked out.”

Nelson’s recent work includes the viral Anti-Mask Flash Mob at Target, which sparked whiny outrage from Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, who has apparently joined the establishment since singing “We’re Not Gonna Take It” in the 1980’s.

On February 29, the U.S. surgeon general infamously tweeted: “Seriously people – STOP BUYING MASKS. . . They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus.” Anthony Fauci, the best-known member of the coronavirus task force, advised Americans not to wear masks around this time. Similarly, in the earliest weeks of the pandemic, the CDC maintained that masks should be worn only by individuals who were symptomatic or caring for a sick person, a position that the WHO stood by even longer.

When "Karen" said "I don't know why you would wear a mask like that?" he should have said, 'Because we still have freedom of expression don't we? Or is that another right that has been taken away from us?'

Potentially toxic masks distributed in schools and daycares in Quebec

Grey and blue SNN200642 masks should no longer be used, warn Quebec and Ottawa...

One model of mask distributed to Quebec schools and daycares may be dangerous for the lungs as they could contain a potentially toxic material, according to a directive sent out by the provincial government on Friday.

Radio-Canada has obtained documents showing Health Canada warned of the potential for "early pulmonary toxicity" from the SNN200642 masks which are made in China and sold and distributed by Métallifer, a Quebec-based manufacturer.

Health Canada conducted a preliminary risk assessment which revealed a potential for early lung damage associated with inhalation of microscopic graphene particles. Graphene is a strong, very thin material that is used in fabrication, but it can be harmful to lungs when inhaled and can cause long-term health problems.

Also, low oxygen levels induce a sense of panic. This also serves their needs very well, makes people even more obedient to frankly stupid orders from authority.

Along with reduced mental functions.

100%. It's why I take the mask off when flying. My first flight under the current situation to SLC was mostly fine. I started losing it near the end.

The next one to San Juan is where I broke down and figured out a way to hide my non-mask wearing. I'm a tall guy in a small airplane seat already. Then you wrap something around my face. I did also have a boot on for a broken heel which didn't help either.

I have zero fear of flying but I was legit dripping in sweat halfway though that flight. The mask in conjunction with the boot made it miserable. The neck pillow and a hat is your friend. Although on my last flight from Pensacola, FL I just didn't wear it. No one said anything. I think most people are sick of it at this point.

Since masks are just theater and not science, get the thinnest most porous mask you can for flights.

I was very happy when I realized my regular mask had 2-plys to it. I cut out the inner one so it's much more comfortable now when I have to go shopping.

Neck gaiter. My facial hair is visibly poking through it when I wear it. My buddy got shit for his on the way to Phoenix, but that was about it. I cannot imagine wearing a cloth one or the blue ones or two... lo f'ing l. I don't like stuff pulling on my ears (or wearing masks at all).

As I type this I'm literally at a loss. The guy that tells us masks don't work (they don't) is now telling us two masks are better than one. This is Twilight Zone shit as I think another user has pointed out. Logic be damned I guess?

Of course Masks don't work.

The only way they could work is that scores of studies on viral respiratory diseases (from the flu to the common cold to SARS) and mask wearing, many conducted on vast scales, were completely wrong in finding no statistical significance between the masked and unmasked.

Watch as masks are continued during the Flu season: "Seattle had NO FLU DEATHS in 2020! All Power to the Mask!"

I'm basically convinced this is actually made up at this point. Not sure the end goal and who the players are. Obviously it came from China, so they're a player in all of this. Or are they? There's no reason/logic in any of it. Maybe that's by design. Confuse so the lie can't be found.

People that were close to dying, died. The horror of that. I'm very lefty/hippy that no human should suffer, but come on, these people dying are practically dead in 98% of cases. It's a global reclassification of viruses in my opinion. AKA the flu and some other conditions being labeled as Covid 19 deaths. Unless Covid 19 dominates and expels other viruses, the flu cannot just go away.

I have no doubt this has been nothing more than an attempt to exploit the seasonal flu for control and $$. By who? Personally, I believe it is 1) many many government agencies and politicians who want more control and $$. 2) many many international corporations for control and $$. 3) many many international organizations. Organizations like the U.N., the WEF etc. for the purpose of control and $$.

The Great Reset is code for...
"THERE ARE TOO MANY OF YOU AND YOU ARE TAKING UP TOO MUCH OF "OUR" RESOURCES".

Think it is unpossible? Think of how evil and greedy the human species is and then tell me there are not at least a certain percentage of us that have the mantra of...
"IF IT CAN BE DONE, THEN IT SHOULD BE DONE".

With the censorship I think it's this. This is why monopolies were eliminated in the first place. I think we're seeing a workaround now. Just because you have 3 different LLC's for social media, doesn't mean the investors aren't the same. Just because 3 big Pharma companies have a vaccine, doesn't mean it's not a monopoly of investment.

I think we're in an age where large investors can create a defacto monopoly by owning massive amounts of shares in multiple companies. Pulling the puppet strings on them all to create more wealth. This has always been going on to some extent, but it's not regulated and whales can get away with it.

This is totally anti American and against my libertarian beliefs, but there should be limits on overall ownership of multiple companies IF you have $X amount of stake in one company or a certain percentage. Remember it's not insider trading if you buy stock of a company you're about to do business with. You're not part of it. We've allowed shadow monopolies to be created basically. And then some of these people have control of large media outlets to double down on the narrative.

I'll go a little further and say that Corporations, as they are today, were never supposed to be. There is a great documentary called "The Corporation". In it, it shows how corporations were to have a charter for either a fixed amount of time or a fixed purpose. Once the time or purpose was over/completed, it was to dissolve. There is a very good reason for this and we are experiencing why. We not only fought the king of England, we also fought because of his corporations.

I don't disagree, I'd just say there are some pretty dumb dudes out there too. I'll come across as biased, but my wife is one of the smartest people I know. My dad and sister are/were attorneys (Dad is dead). Know plenty of doctors, engineers, educators, etc.

I'd agree though that the vast majority of women are behind. Men just like politics more and to be informed. Women don't remotely care as much. They don't really know what they're voting on. Part of the reason politics is so polarizing. It's not just party, it's men vs. women. Black vs. white.
