Not so much with the religious stuff, but in general.

Holy Shit!!! Now that guy gets it.

This IS coming, so I agree with him. This shit show is going to result in a slow motion divorce. People talk about a civil war, but there's no fucking way we start killing one another. It'll be like that old married couple that no longer talks and live separate lives because they hate one another, but don't want to get divorced because it's too expensive.

I've done almost everything he lists except I never got into bitcoin. I can fucking kick myself because if you think about it, it's just an extension of Warcraft gold (nerd here). Although Bitcoin will most likely be outlawed as it gains popularity/power, so in order to keep it, you'll have to be a criminal. Before that happens, I can easily see it at 100K.

I believe without religion there would be nothing holding back the evil of man. Like it or not, religion is a plus to society. Remember who built the west...white, Christian men.

Does anyone see the problem here?

Problems?

The pendulum is swinging a little too far.

From the article:

"The trasnhumanist nihilists and their technocracy are offering nothing of spiritual value. The Gospel Message of Jesus Christ, and that of American Populism, is one of redemption, hope, love, dominion, sovereignty, freedom and forgiveness. None of these things are possible with critical theory or woke consumer crony capitalism paired with a corporate techno tyranny."

I believe we previously had an argument on whether Jesus was real or not; doesn't matter. The ideal of Jesus is real and the "transhumanist nihilists" that are trying to take over America forget that we are a still a nation of free people that exercise their free will.

We are not rioting against the stolen election. We are not staging mass protests against the masking and lockdowns. We are just trying to go about our happy successful lives as best we can with the increasing tyranny.

But we do have our limits. And we do the know the system is rigged from the president, through the congress down to many if not most state governments.

These are trying times for all of us. Those of us that have a friend in Jesus know whatever the trials and tribulations we will know the way, to paraphrase Jesus "Look at the bird, he never knows where his next meal is coming from or where he will sleep, he just goes with the flow".

And my depression/ WW2 era marine Grandpa who raised me said, "and half the birds die every winter."

On his Points 1, 7 and 10.

1) Bitcoin is a market dominated by a few people who can move the market up or down by buying and selling to others or colluding with each other. There was a rumor that a few people owned 96% of the bitcoin on one exchange. When one person or a group of people acting as one owns the market they control it.

7) Social conscious altruistic local buying doesn't work. It's a fairy tale. Otherwise Wal-Mart wouldn't be so big.

10) AGAIN - Social conscious altruistic local buying doesn't work. People will always buy according to their own self interest. Quality vs. Price. I don't buy from the local farmer because he's local and I want to support family farms. I buy because he has the best product quality vs. price combination.

Who were escaping religious persecution of Europe...

It's not that religion is needed to "without the evil of man" - it's suspicion. People are too apt to trust authorities.

We're nearly a year in for a 2 week respite to "flatten the curve" - we are NEVER going back to normal, because there are so many trusting, ignorant, gullible people. We're being forced back into feudalism, which was the economic system of Europe, when people were escaping Europe to deal with a completely uncertain life in a wild land. Think it was a great system?

So ... basically join the Mennonites and buy bitcoin. Is that really workable? Would they even want me?

I like it.
Leftists want to de platform, cancel, and fire anyone who isn’t sufficiently woke. Well conservatives own companies too, and we can decline to hire based on politics, or fire employees found to be practicing cancel culture SJW mob crap. We don’t need to support the cancer, or even tolerate it. We don’t need to sit back and accept our local schools and school boards steady drift to the Left. Sometimes an angry parent protest is what’s needed to overturn toxic school policy.
Small victory yesterday. My middle schooler is going back to hybrid in a week, and they’re doing it by cohorts. She got stuck in the cohort without any of her friends and requested me to try to change it. I called the school and got told that they don’t do that, but I could write an email to the school counselor to request special circumstances. I wrote her a letter alright...
Let’s just say that only 20 minutes after I sent it, I got a call from the school principal offering to capitulate to my demands, and just asking that I don’t spread it around... like it was their internal decision.
Teachers are beginning to realize that they went too fucking far this time. Parents are pissed, getting organized, and starting to put real pressure on their sources of funding. Parents are actively sharing on the local community page about how it’s going with private schools, online correspondence courses (alternative to the public schools), and of course publicly rejecting the constant excuses the school board and teachers give for not opening schools. The fact is this: the school board could open schools tomorrow if they wanted to, and that isn’t dependent on local Covid rates, state guidance, or the whining of the teachers unions. We are letting them know that WE KNOW and we will remember. And things are changing. Most elementary schools go back in person full time next week. Middle schools go back hybrid. And no movement on high schools. But we have only begun to exert pressure. Watch this thing crumble as we threaten the livelihoods of the educators in question.

One thing is already unavoidable: there will be mass teacher layoffs this Fall. Many thousands of kids won’t be coming back to their masked gulag they’ve made of the schools. Where each kid has to sit alone at lunch like pariahs. Where the kids aren’t allowed to talk to each other or socialize. Where they have to sit behind plexiglass with their masks on or be expelled.
I’m not putting my youngest into that. She will continue at the private Christian school, where she’s been getting a first rate education and normal school experience.

Notice that they are opening back up in order of which kids need babysitting the most.

True, and the cover is that younger children don’t hardly even get the Covid.

Haha. Doubtful. This is the gov & Dems controlling it.

Good luck firing teachers. Tougher than getting a cop fired.

Pretty easy to fire people who refuse to show up for work. Just have to stop sucking Union dick. Obviously such politicians are not common in California.
