I thought schools were doing anonymous grading these days, where students only write their student ID number on the exams. That way the grader doesn't have a bias for or against the students, theoretically. It would also mean the professor wouldn't know which students got what grades.

no, profs know name of students and correlation with grade. However, a lot of grading is computerized, like in SAT or similar tests, which takes care of biases.

That's racist!

If it's true I don't see the problem, shouldn't be hard to prove.

Move them on with gold stars and printing press diplomas so that they are somebody else's headache. They'll become apparatchiks in the KommieKunt hierarchies, always hiding their incompetency with slogans, attitude, agitation and aggression. They will eventually get into positions where they will persecute competency as a kind of revenge for their own incompetency.

Prof. learns the hard way that the PTB WANT society debased to the lowest common denominator. Only the highest elites will have real schools and education.

Competency doesn't need to make excuses for itself, insane politics do.

I have the usual array of stories I can't really tell because they are so defiant of common sense in graduate school that it's exhausting to even recount them.

Political correctness has always been around aka you conform, never step on toes, you never say things that are inconvenient to the scripts of those in authority no matter how destructive or absurd. It's just gotten to the point where it's all disease and no organism any more.

Judging by the hysterical reaction it must be true.

The truth is always the most dangerous thing to say. Especially when the people in charge are allergic to it!

What is black? So many are "mixed" race these days that it hardly matters. The bell curve leaves a a lot of smart people at the right end no matter your race or ethnicity.

Lot of stupid people of all colors on the left.

Affirmative action and other skin color based "wokeness" clearly creates a situation in college where certain skin colors have a lower average performance than other skin colors. w/o AA, when a teacher, student, or employer encounters a black college student or graduate, they can have higher confidence the person is on average college material, regardless of color. But with AA, they would be correct to assume the black student is likely less competent, on average. With AA, all the students and teachers constantly see that the majority of black students under perform in college, and this breeds future negative unconscious bias towards them, which discounts the value of any degree or credential they may hold, even if the degree is well deserved. The blacks who do perform at or above the bar level, and thus don't need AA, suffer because they get lumped in w/ the AA queens, and are assumed to likely underperform.

This is exactly what people said would happen a long time ago. Now that it happened, the left seeks to discredit teachers and objective grading, as a way to get out of the mess they created w/ AA. If professors grade fairly, then the lower performers will have lower gpas, and employers can have more confidence that a given gpa from a given school consistently means something about the student (whatever that may mean). Basically, the lower performers are filtered out. But, this ends up filtering out many blacks because their performance level never belonged in that college in the first place.

Now the left is pressuring schools to give them the same grades because, if they score lower on tests, "it must be due to racism and flawed tests that aren't culturally sensitive and inclusive enough". This will result in great contempt from other students when they see grades being made unfairly, and will reduce trust in the college system even further. And, employers will be pushed into ignoring gpa, and instead just avoiding the resumes of AA race benefactors by looking at skin color.

If the left succeeds and gets grading to be done AA style, then employers will be the next target. They already attack large employers, complaining that the employer ignored more black resumes, and hired less blacks overall. And this will ramp up even further, with ever more diversity hires given in settlement as a way of bending the knee. CA will likely be the first to enact mandatory employee diversity quotas by skin color, just like they do for gender now.

But, a big thing standing in their way is those pesky teachers who share their testimony with others that the black students underperform. They will fire these professors, so they can replace their words with the approved wokeness narrative. Saying anything negative in any way, regardless if it's true, is interpreted as raycist and hateful. By aggressively seeking out and firing any non-woke faculty, they can effectively spread the lie.

Ruining educational systems - what an effective way to destroy a country over the course of a few generations. Damn.

Will employers require background AND DNA checks now?

Slow your roll. Most don't even check ID's or if they're even legal citizens. Let's start with an ID or SS card first. Checking DNA is racists and so are background checks. At least that's what I hear on the news.

Right, why don't they just look at the numbers?
