COVID-19: Holidaying abroad will mean a £5k fine under new coronavirus laws set to come in next week

Attempting to take a holiday abroad will result in a £5,000 fine under new coronavirus laws.

The legislation covering COVID-19 restrictions includes a ban on leaving the UK without a reasonable excuse - with the hefty fine for those breaking the rule. ...

MPs will vote on the laws - officially titled the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Steps) (England) Regulations 2021 - on Thursday.

If approved they would come into effect next Monday - 29 March. ...

It forms part of a move from ministers to extend measures contained within the Coronavirus Act until October.

Some Conservative MPs are set to rebel, but the government is expected to easily win the support of the Commons. ...

On foreign travel, the new law states that no one can "leave England to travel to a destination outside the United Kingdom, or travel to, or be present at, an embarkation point for the purpose of travelling from there to a destination outside the United Kingdom" without a reasonable excuse.

Fines of £5,000 can be issued to those who break this rule, according to the regulations.

Foreign travel for a holiday is already illegal, but the punishment is a new measure. ...

The Metropolitan Police faced criticism earlier this month for its handling of a vigil in memory of Sarah Everard, with officers grabbing several women and leading them away in handcuffs.

British citizens would be more than justified in rising up and publicly hanging every member of Parliament who voted to imprison them with these laws.

How far they have fallen to be enslaved by tyrants who are supposedly their own "representatives"!

The nations, not so blest as thee,
Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall;
While thou shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves:
"Britons never will be slaves."

The song is wrong. Britons are now slaves.

East Germany, Cuba, China, USSR - all had laws against citizens leaving.

"Because I want to," is a perfectly reasonable excuse.

Mr. Boris Johnson, tear down this wall!

I think that when Boris had 'Covid' and was supposed to be ill, he was actually abducted, tied to a chair and hosed, tortured then re-programmed by MI5/MI6 and the Globalists and has been a good little apparatchik ever since. He never stuck to his original script after that.

Meanwhile, refugees will be assisted at landing by BBC crews, while entire Paki Clanmembers will fly in by the planeload to get their NHS Bypasses and Eczema Cousin-inbreeding Treatments

Anybody remember HIPAA laws? Completely ignored.

They probably poisoned Jordan Peterson too. He was the greatest voice of reason in the social justice warriors war on freedom of speech and thought. How convenient that he was not in Canada to stop the outright assault on human rights over the last year. Peterson is now a shadow of his former self.

We have been at war for years. We have not lost until THEY kill their useful idiots. At that point we are already dead or in the gulag being reeducated.

For how many more years will the first amendment be suspended.

UK has always been the testing grounds for tyranny in Western nations, but I believe the latest abuses are retribution from petulant globalist pukes for the people daring to vote for Brexit.

It has occurred to me that perhaps Boris was never actually sick.

Maybe it is simply so profitable for the elite and so beneficial for establishing a woke-fascist state that he decided to pretend to be seriously ill as a PR stunt. How could you prove it either way?

Children warned future careers could be ruined by old tweets

Children have been warned that their future careers could be jeopardised by offensive old tweets and comments, as police are recording thousands of them as non-crime hate incidents.

Since 2014, more than 2,000 non-crime hate incidents have been recorded against under 17-year-olds, The Telegraph can reveal, which can show up on an enhanced DBS background check carried out by employers.

Non-crime hate incidents are actions of “hostility towards religion, race or transgender identity” and must be recorded even if there is no evidence of the hate element.

Despite police accepting that the incidents are not crimes, they are still logged on a system. Last year, this newspaper revealed that more than 120,000 incidents have been recorded by forces across the country over five years.

Of those 120,000, 2,130 relate to children, new freedom of information (FOI) figures show.

The force which had recorded the most was Northamptonshire Police with 670 incidents, followed by Kent Police with 196.

Numerous forces refused to respond to the FOI on the grounds that it would cost too much money to retrieve the data, meaning the true figure will be much higher.

They did poison JP. Big pharma is the devil. Don't take pills. Simple as that. "Anxiety" is a completely normal human emotion that doesn't need pills to address it. I'm actually surprised that someone as seemingly intelligent as a clinical psychologist didn't understand the side effects of Benzos.

Shrooms and LSD are mind altering drugs that are outlawed, not addictive and no withdrawals if you take them frequently. But Benzos are mind altering, legal, addictive and it's hard to come off them. But hey, some big company says they'll help your anxiety and the FDA says cool. And then charge an arm and a leg for them knowing you'll get hooked while the benefit is minimal and outright dangerous if you want to stop.

Having witnessed people getting off Benzos, JP won't be "normal" again most likely. Ever.

In response to Patrick's OP. Look at our neighbors to the north, Canada. They're just as draconian. My BIL cannot even get back into the country without what is basically a big fine because of a flu bug.

He, my SIL and their kid would have to quarantine in a government approved hotel at cost I believe for 7 days. I've read estimates of $2k/person to do this. Government officials will check on you. You can't leave the room. Food delivered. As said above, we're already living 1984 basically in some parts of the world.

This is why we have guns. And this is why any thinking American should defend the 2A at all costs.

It is for the Left.

No, it's the manual of our government, it's neither left nor right, it's simply authoritarian.

For periods of time, like under George W. Bush it was "the right" that was pushing us in that direction. That's when the NSA became formally acknowledged, nationwide wiretapping went into place "Homeland" Security was created, and our intelligence agencies openly lied to the public to support foreign policy.

When Obama became president, it all continued.

There's useful idiot pawns on both sides.

It seems to be coming from "the left" because currently "the left" is in power. Well, whoever is in power pushes us toward authoritarianism, with the (possible) exception of Trump. He might have just been a phenomenal actor, but under him, it's been made clear we can't vote our way out of this mess. That may have been intentional.

It’s actually worse.
My friend’s father and mother are in England for a year, she took a teaching job there, the husband is retired.

So the father and mother came back to Florida for a few weeks, and the father is staying here.
According to him, travel is so severely restricted in England that he could not even move around much within the UK, so he just said fuck that.

He’d be practically trapped living in some crummy “Village of the Damned.”

I spent a year during college in England, it was fun.
They don’t think like we do however.

He initiated the lockdown.

Willingly or unwittingly Trump furthered the interest of tyranny.

I was a bit disappointed that Trump did not point out, for example, the financial motive for Fraudulent Fauci to push vaccines:

The Online Safety Bill is a major blow to the UK’s already-feeble free speech rights
It's the most far-reaching online censorship law the UK has ever proposed.

I wonder if they're hiding behind the pandemic for imposition of capital controls.
