A small Texas border town has become the new epicenter of a surge in illegal entry into the U.S., with smugglers there brazenly ferrying hundreds of migrants across the Rio Grande every night.

Roma, a town with historic buildings and boarded-up storefronts in Texas' Rio Grande Valley, is the latest epicenter of illegal crossings, where growing numbers of families and children are entering the United States to seek asylum.

With a population of 10,000, Roma is 98 percent Hispanic, and faces economic challenges, with more than half of all residents living under the poverty line.

Each night as darkness sets on the Rio Grande, U.S. Border Patrol agents hear pumps inflating rafts across the river in Mexico. It is about to get busy.

Within an hour, about 100 people have been dropped off in the United States, including many families with toddlers and children as young as seven traveling alone.

All of them wear numbered yellow plastic wristbands that look like they could be used to get into a concert or amusement park, and everyone rips them off and tosses them on the ground after setting foot in the U.S.

Large black letters on the wristbands read, 'Entregas,' or 'Deliveries,' apparently a mechanism for smugglers to keep track of migrants they are ferrying across the river that separates Texas and Mexico.

U.S. authorities reported more than 100,000 encounters on the southern border in February, the highest since a four-month streak in 2019.

Encounters have averaged about 5,000 people per day throughout March, which would be about a 50 percent increase over February if those figures hold for the entire month, according to a senior Border Patrol official, who spoke to reporters Friday on condition of anonymity to discuss preliminary figures.


Employers are pleased at the increase in downward pressure on wages with each boatload.

Democrats are pleased with what they assume will be reliable Democratic voters.

But a reader points out that many Republicans are guilty as well:

When the Trump administration ended, the U.S. was deporting more people than were illegally coming into the country. In less than a month under Biden, the number of people illegally coming into the country is more than 6,000 per day—that’s six times the crisis level as set by the Obama team.

The president should be honest with the American people. There is a crisis. The crisis was caused by a raft of open border policies rapidly implemented by this administration (such as stopping construction on the border wall and promoting amnesty for illegal aliens), which in affect are advertisements to attract more illegal immigration.


Except Biden isn't even really the president. The election was fraudulent.

Democrats in New York are working on creating a fund that would give some illegal aliens and ex-convicts more than $27,000 apiece in direct payments for financial hardships related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Politico reported Tuesday that Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office is in talks with state lawmakers to create something called the Excluded Workers Fund, which would offer direct payments to “undocumented immigrants and formerly incarcerated individuals” who missed out on work opportunities amid the pandemic.

“Right now discussions are around eligibility and access,” Democratic state Sen. Jessica Ramos told the outlet.

Don't forget the pedophiles. Word is the cartels are providing the children and they are receiving selective transport to customers.

Nobody even knows who these children are, they will be swallowed up by the pedophile grid.

This is from a state whose governor said they had to levy income taxes on any volunteers that came to NY to help with Covid and stayed at least 14 days. The governor claimed he had to tax them for "budget reasons."

Aside from the population congestion, I would not live between Santa Barbara and the Mexican border. One of Biden's promises to China was to use illegals to infiltrate insurrectionists into the USA. They have already found warehouses full of Chinese weapons, many using freighter pods posed as market goods, to arm these infiltrates. I think BLM and Antifa will look tame once these China inspired, cartel trained and armed arrivistes start doing their thing.

Biden's job is to take away our weapons on the one hand, and assure the infiltrators and their armament on the other. The job of the 'progressive' governors under color of Covid is to make as many major cities as possible feral cities aka lawless areas where infiltrates can root so tightly they have command and control centers that cannot be easily weeded out again. Its pretty clear they have done a great job on Seattle, Portland, SF, New York, and LA, although you could say large stretches of LA were feral already.
