We are looking for another state now. There’s Facebook group called “leaving California”, a lot of talk there.

I am in S. Florida. I was in Santa Cruz since 1982.
A lot of it will cause culture shock; something third world about a black ghetto a stone's throw from million dollar high rise condos.
Annoying New York, New Jersey creeps; tons of geezers, Haitians, Jamaicans, Cubans.
I suggest north of Palm Beach Gardens.
Boating, diving, the beach are good here.
I've heard Del Rey Beach has an actual downtown that's nice. I haven't seen it.
Yesterday at the Palm Beach Boat Show I met some older rich people who departed California.
One guy had some tech company he sold or something and sold his place in Palo Alto.
An older woman I met has or had a summer place on Catalina. I didn't know you could actually live out there.
The sun here is dangerous now; it's not too hot with the breeze so you might make the mistake of sitting in the sun.
Biiiiiig mistake.

I have a close friend who moved to Chattanooga a year or so ago and tries to lure me down there with stories of his great and rapid successes in land development. The opportunity seems real, but I am very nervous about a Black population in the range of 30% that is being indoctrinated with the intense Federal Racial Resentment Programs of recent years.

It's not going to happen. Also outdoors you can do whatever you want. I've not worn a mask once outdoors except for when I wanted to enter private property that required it. These are fantasy scenarios on each side. I'm currently skiing in Tahoe and the lake has never been prettier. Occasionally I pull the neck gaiter over my nose at the lift entrance when the staff barks but it slips off right away anyways.

I realized the mask I have has two layers, so I cut out the inner layer and can breathe even easier. I keep it very loose, and use it only to go grocery shopping. Sometimes it happens to slip off...

Went on a hike today with my wife and made a point of nicely informing each person who put on a mask when seeing us that their beloved NY Times has an article from Feb 14th pointing out that there has not been even one single documented instance of casual outdoor transmission anywhere on earth.

I'm going to keep it up. Sometimes people agree with me and are very relieved to find another sane human.
