Racist Band-Aids? I thought Joe Pags was joking about it! A solution to one of the worst problems that doesn't exist!
2   Onvacation   2021 Mar 30, 6:48pm

Yay! Finally! Pink bandaids for my slightly sunburned lily white ass!

Lawsuits will proliferate when Black Band-Aids are priced differently than "normal" Band-Aids.
4   Ceffer   2021 Mar 30, 7:46pm

I hate bandaids that try to mug me.
5   FortwayeAsFuckJoeBiden   2021 Mar 30, 8:08pm

But there are no white bandaids still
6   ThatGuy   2021 Mar 30, 9:30pm

I went to Raleys the other day, needed a band-aid for my palm... There was NO inventory. lots of shelf space, 50% filled. Nothing but a few different sizes of the standard oval shape.

I need my hand healed, not to virtue signal, making a bunch of different colors solves fucking nothing. and now they won't be able to make those specialty ones that you really need

fucking make them all black for all I care but a whole new product line for each race, in each size and shape?

This is a health matter. Fuck your identity. Whoever is pushing this should kill themselves

It used to be the bands did farm-aid. Tough times.

Brought to you by Johnson and Johnson. They are going to be having different colors for their Covid vaccine as well.
9   just_passing_through   2021 Mar 30, 9:37pm

Actually, if I were to take any of them I'd pick J&J...
10   Ceffer   2021 Mar 30, 10:10pm

Bandaids that jump off every time you pass a Popeye's? No thanks.

Or out of stock, or not available in sufficient shapes, or even not available in a "proportionate" number. Or even making them all "too dark."

There are already plenty of choices.

They won’t be priced differently, but they will be behind plexiglass that you have to ask a store clerk to retrieve for you.

Differently colored band-aids is a good idea - does not matter for us, but womyn like to use band-aids that are skin colored. I don't care, could use purple or blue band-aids.

I remember way back in the 80s or 90s, there came a similar release of different fleshtone Band-Aids. I presume they didn't stay in production, not out of racism, but lack of sufficient sales and profitability to continue offering.

How long till this is racist?
17   WookieMan   2021 Mar 31, 9:37am

I haven't used any kind of band-aid or wound covering since 2007 roughly. Kids have. How often are people cutting themselves? Rehabbed my primary home and the worst, and I mean absolute worst injury was a sliver under my middle finger nail.

Screw water boarding. Jam a thin sliver of wood underneath a terrorist finger nail. Your world changes real quick. Removing that bad boy was a mutha fucker. I didn't at first and it started getting infected overnight. Wood can be like a barbed fish hook. This was no different. My god, never again. Top 5 pain event in my life.

Sounds weak, but don't knock it until you try it... lol.

Hmm, I don’t remember this but thanks for the reference!! It’s always preferable to consult history as a judge of policy rather than just retrying the same things every generation.
Honestly I can’t think of a good reason not to have different skin tones for bandages. If there’s a market for them, the market should and will deliver!
If, however, the market is weak, as you mentioned in the 80s it was, then this won’t work well regardless of the reasons.

I've bought a value pack of Band-Aid from Costco and not a single one matched my skin tone. I guess I'll have a public tantrum about it.

Wait, so the solution for this "problem" has been available as long as transparent bandages have been available?

Already is. Needs a mucho darker skin tone and a visible vagina.
23   joshuatrio   2021 Mar 31, 1:47pm

I only buy batman bandaids
24   Misc   2021 Apr 1, 3:56am

It's not racist...it's sexist
25   noobster   2021 Apr 1, 6:19am

Well if sales don't pan out, then there will be a law that says manufacturers must produce them.

I remember the old multi-toned bandaids as well.
