The first big lie was "Free" Trade with Mexico and China around 1992, and that was the first time I saw the media and both parties unite against a candidate and a position, although I was in HS at the time and didn't have anything to compare it to. Gay men have the most sexual partners, then heterosexual, then lesbians. Not certain if gay men or heterosexual men have more violence in their relationships. Correlation doesn't imply causation though but those are some interesting data points. I think gay men tend to be the least abusive in a relationship.

Anecdotally, I think men are better pet owners than women are. I think women tend to want a child and a pet isn't a child, men want a buddy, and a pet tends to be a buddy, well, if it's a dog or a wild animal anyhow.

Corporations are now effectively our new gods. I used to chuckle when I was a young'n reading about how the Romans could proclaim their emperor a god. Geez, what the hell was wrong with these ancients. I now unfortunately have come to realize that the same collective human defect that led to the deification of the Roman emperors is alive and well 2000 years later.

How so? IIRC a god is 1) immortal, 2) omnipotent, and 3) omniscient. Corporations cannot die (unlike in the early history of the U.S., when we had corporate charters of limited duration), they are effectively omniscient thanks to the IoT and NSA collusion. Cancel culture and death by drone is effectively giving the fascist corporate U.S.A. the power of life or death over its subjugate peoples.

Thanks Pat. I stand in awe of the whole march of history we've experienced. But I'm so tangent oriented, worried about staying on target with brevity. This would be a great project and I'd be happy to help. One thing I find important is to insert little cultural moments, because it makes me - and I suspect others - go "Oh yeah, I remember that!" and gives the argument some zing. I am sick and tired! We have a right to dissent with any administration ----> Basket of Deplorables, irredeemable.
