Critical race theory is fast becoming America’s new institutional orthodoxy. Yet most Americans have never heard of it—and of those who have, many don’t understand it. This must change. We need to know what it is so we can know how to fight it.

To explain critical race theory, it helps to begin with a brief history of Marxism. ...

Its supporters deploy a series of euphemisms to describe critical race theory, including “equity,” “social justice,” “diversity and inclusion,” and “culturally responsive teaching.” Critical race theorists, masters of language construction, realize that “neo-Marxism” would be a hard sell. Equity, on the other hand, sounds non-threatening and is easily confused with the American principle of equality. But the distinction is vast and important. Indeed, critical race theorists explicitly reject equality...

UCLA law professor and critical race theorist Cheryl Harris has proposed suspending private property rights, seizing land and wealth, and redistributing them along racial lines. Critical race guru Ibram X. Kendi, who directs the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, has proposed the creation of a federal Department of Antiracism. This department would be independent of (i.e., unaccountable to) the elected branches of government, and would have the power to nullify, veto, or abolish any law at any level of government and curtail the speech of political leaders and others deemed insufficiently “antiracist.”

One practical result of the creation of such a department would be the overthrow of capitalism, since, according to Kendi, “In order to truly be antiracist, you also have to truly be anti-capitalist.” In other words, identity is the means; Marxism is the end.

An equity-based form of government would mean the end not only of private property but also of individual rights, equality under the law, federalism, and freedom of speech. These would be replaced by race-based redistribution of wealth, group-based rights, active discrimination, and omnipotent bureaucratic authority. Historically, the accusation of “anti-Americanism” has been overused. But in this case, it’s not a matter of interpretation: critical race theory prescribes a revolutionary program that would overturn the principles of the Declaration and destroy the remaining structure of the Constitution. ...

In Cupertino, California, an elementary school forced first-graders to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities and rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.” ...

There are three parts to a successful strategy to defeat the forces of critical race theory: governmental action, grassroots mobilization, and an appeal to principle. ...

We already see examples of governmental action. Last year, one of my reports led President Trump to issue an executive order banning critical race theory–based training programs in the federal government. President Biden rescinded this order on his first day in office...

I have organized a coalition of attorneys to file lawsuits against schools and government agencies that impose critical race theory–based programs on grounds of the First Amendment (which protects citizens from compelled speech), the Fourteenth Amendment (which provides equal protection under the law), and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (which prohibits public institutions from discriminating on the basis of race). ...

On the grassroots level, a multiracial and bipartisan coalition is emerging to fight critical race theory. Parents are mobilizing against racially divisive curricula in public schools and employees are increasingly speaking out against Orwellian reeducation in the workplace. When they see what is happening, Americans are naturally outraged that critical race theory promotes three ideas—race essentialism, collective guilt, and neo-segregation—that violate the basic principles of equality and justice. Anecdotally, many Chinese-Americans have told me that, having survived the Cultural Revolution in their former country, they refuse to let the same thing happen here. ...

In terms of principles, we need to employ our own moral language rather than allow ourselves to be confined by the categories of critical race theory. For example, we often find ourselves debating “diversity.” Diversity as most of us understand it is generally good, all things being equal, but it is of secondary value. We should be talking about and aiming at excellence, a common standard that challenges people of all backgrounds to achieve their potential. On the scale of desirable ends, excellence beats diversity every time. ...

Similarly, in addition to pointing out the dishonesty of the historical narrative on which critical race theory is predicated, we must promote the true story of America—a story that is honest about injustices in American history, but that places them in the context of our nation’s high ideals and the progress we have made toward realizing them. Genuine American history is rich with stories of achievements and sacrifices that will move the hearts of Americans, in stark contrast to the grim and pessimistic narrative pressed by critical race theorists.

Above all, we must have courage, the fundamental virtue required in our time: courage to stand and speak the truth, courage to withstand epithets, courage to face the mob, and courage to shrug off the scorn of elites. When enough of us overcome the fear that currently prevents so many from speaking out, the hold of critical race theory will begin to slip. And courage begets courage. It’s easy to stop a lone dissenter; it’s much harder to stop 10, 20, 100, 1,000, 1 million, or more who stand up together for the principles of America. Truth and justice are on our side. If we can muster the courage, we will win.

Bombard their Headquarters: Do everything possible to defund Academia and EduAdmins.

Learn about your city/county laws and meetings and disrupt them.

Sue on every woke/CRT policy passed by the county/city/school/state. Raise money and sue just to sue for the sake of suing. The more resources they must use to play defense, the less they have to advance.

Personalize the enemy. Remember these are mostly bitter, single, pervert hater-fanatics whose life revolves around hating the West for getting wedgies in HS or ignored by Chad, even though they have a Master's Degree.

Don't buy CCP anything if you can.

And demand your state legislature ban under-18 Sex Changes and pass laws making Pedophilia a mental illness and not a sexual orientation (that's the next phase, well under way in 2015 through a multitude of TED talks and NYT and Salon articles, until Trump sucked the air out of the room).

And finally, anything and everything RINOs and "Tone and Tenor" GOPers recommend is wrong, do the opposite.

YES!

This is a much better slogan than "defund the police" and could actually do some good.

No, there IS valid academia. You know this, you're an engineer just as I am.

If you want to fix this world, defund the government. They are perverting academia.

When knowledge is working properly, when education is working correctly, it's advancing civilization. Look at the tremendous advancement of society in just 100 years. Do you have any idea how difficult life was just 100 years ago? People scrubbed clothing over washboards then, they pulled rugs outside to beat them clean. They were ENTIRELY subject to propaganda, they had nearly no ability to talk to people across the country except through letters, and those were confined to talk about family and life, not politics - much less across nations.

Academia has made life far far easier. A lot of it, today, is just a way to make people into lifetime wage slaves - only that you should fight. Science is being perverted. You have to prevent and reverse that. Science is well defined, create a model that agrees with observation and makes accurate predictions - that's what a theory is. There is no such thing as "feminist theory" - it's a hypothesis, with no theory at all and it's quite obvious that it is wrong. A lot of crap is called "theory" that isn't today.

For real. I saw this article yesterday
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/at-careers-end-maybe-we-should-embrace-anti-retirement-11619201250?siteid=yhoof2

Telling us we should embrace a lifetime of work instead of retiring, extoling the virtues of work, while denigrating the slothful idea of retirement. Funny how nobody in the comments section agreed with the author.

I wouldnt be surprised if this was paid propaganda from the same people gunning for 40yr-50yr mortgages.

On Monday, Idaho’s State Senate passed a bill already passed by the state House that would ban the teaching of critical race theory in schools. HB 377, which will now be sent to GOP Governor Brad Little for his signature, states:

No public institution of higher education, school district, or public school, including a public charter school, shall direct or otherwise compel students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to any of the following tenets: That any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin is inherently superior or inferior; That individuals should be adversely treated on the basis of their sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin; or that individuals, by virtue of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin, are inherently responsible for actions committed in the past by other members of the same sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin.

No distinction or classification of students shall be made on account of race or color. No course of instruction or unit of study directing or otherwise compelling students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to any of the tenets identified in paragraph (a) of this subsection shall be used or introduced in any institution of higher education, any school district, or any public school, including a public charter school.

The New Hampshire state legislative hearings two month ago were some of the first in the nation. It managed scare the hell out of the radical left and they are now more organized in trying to shut down public comment. Looks like NH will be a battleground. James Lindsay testified and the the SJW Rep. accused him of being an anti-semite (and issuing death threats) and then of being a Proud Boy (he is neither).

Republicans in the state Senate are looking for a compromise with their House counterparts over the anti-critical race theory amendment contained in the proposed state budget.
“I hope we’re able to find an acceptable version of the language that people can buy into and we can move forward with it,” said Sen. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).
HB 2, the budget proposal approved by the House, includes language that bars the teaching of “divisive” topics on race and gender. The amendment, which replaces HB 544, is seen as critical if the Senate and Gov. Chris Sununu want the budget to pass.
Rep. Keith Ammon (R-New Boston), one of HB 544’s sponsors, said getting the critical race theory ban is a priority for the House GOP. He said it prioritizes storytelling over historical facts and has been creeping into the state’s education system for years.
“It’s slowly embedding itself in our institutions and it’s doing it with very little pushback,” Ammon said.
Last week, Rep. Ken Weyler (R-Kingston), House Finance Chair, warned the Senate that the ban on critical race theory is essential for the budget to pass. Weyler said the votes are simply not there if the Senate ditches the ban. Wyler himself considered critical race theory to be a “Marxist, anti-American, anti-White” program.

America First Legal (AFL) is seeking to pursue a lawsuit to stop critical race theory (CRT) training, according to Stephen Miller, a former adviser to then-President Donald Trump.

“We’re also looking for plaintiffs—if we can find them—who are willing to stand up and file suit on critical race theory,” he said during an interview with Fox News.

Miller encouraged federal workers who have been compelled to participate in CRT training to join the effort.

Sen. Bill Hagerty proposes bill to make platforms with over 100 million users “common carriers”

The latest bill aimed to curb Big Tech censorship.

Tennessee’s Sen. Bill Hagerty, Republican, is to introduce a bill that will redefine Big Tech platforms as common carriers, removing what he says are some protections these platforms enjoy under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

Hagerty’s bill draws from a recommendation by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who said the censorship on Big Tech platforms could be ended if they were treated as common carriers.

In an article published by the Wall Street Journal, Hagerty argued that, like phone networks and trains, online platforms “are essential to everyday goings-on,” therefore, should be treated as common carriers, which are subject “to special regulations, including a general requirement to serve all comers without discrimination.”
