Trump did his duty as POTUS. With DeSantis available, he’s not needed in that role. He is still very useful as a figurehead of the MAGA movement, a kingmaker for lower politicians, and a guidepost for establishing new values for the GOP. And the thing is: he can’t be impeached by resentful Democrats from this role because it’s not official. It’s like Obama’s role in the DNC, which Obama can’t be removed from either.

We're still trying to work within the system. We voted. We are working through the courts to expose all of the chicanery that made the last election a farce. The state, THE GOVERNMENT!, is fighting this process every step of the way. And it's NOT just the progressives.

We're waiting for justice. This is still America and we still have the constitution. It is the law we live under. The government has been perverted from being our servant to being our ruler. That's un-American.

I am so cynical I am beginning to believe that it is ALL political theatre and Biden, Trump, DeSantis, etc. et all, on and on everyone of them are just hired actors. You can't even audition if you're not corrupt and beholden.

Maybe the best situation would be Trump as Speaker and DeSantis as president.

Trump opened the door to having the will of the people finally represented in DC, but DeSantis speaks more clearly and is a lot younger.

Consider that DeSantis barely beat out a talentless beard, mayor of high crime Talahassee, who was found a few months after the election amid shit stained sheets with blood pressure drugs, blood pressure monitors, a disco ball, and hypnotics all written in the name of his perfectly healthy Gay Thong Model Pharmacist "roommate" at the hotel.

No charges were filed.

Don't think there isn't fraud in Florida. I know there is fraud in Seminole, where almost every RINO got re-elected comfortably but Trump lost by thousands of votes. My ass.

We don’t have a state income tax, and as long as I’m in this chair, we never will. The closest state to Florida in population is the state of New York. Florida’s now got about 3 million more people than the state of New York, and yet New York state budget is over twice the size of the budget of the state of Florida. And yet, if you compare our roads and infrastructure and services, Florida is far, far superior. In K through 12 education, Florida right now is ranked number three in education quality by Education Week, and I can tell you New York isn’t even close to that. So, we empower people, we treat them well, we respect the fruits of their labor and the results are we do much more with a lean and efficient government than states like New York and California ever will be able to do.

He had a few basic good ideas, but his books are horrible. None of the characters in his books are the least bit fleshed out, they are horribly one dimensional to the point I don't think Stephen King has any real comprehension of what an actual human being is like.

I had to read a few books of his in high school assigned to me by my English teacher. His are the only books I'd seriously recommend getting Cliff Notes to digest. If his books were a food, it would be a lot of rice with a few pieces of very basically cooked meat spread few and far between.

The Tommynockers was one book I had to read. I was like in 9th grade, and it was driving me crazy how he wrote a science fiction book and didn't know anything about physics.

I don't know, my hatred of King might have something to do with my dumb English teachers PRAISE and love of him as some excellent writer. I really felt cheated out of a decent literature education because of that teacher. I got caught up in college, but that author is just awful. Awful in every way. Not a huge fan of Shakespeare or something, but at least with a reader explaining all the jokes and double entendres was was interesting.

His books are generally good until about the middle, then the ending falls a part.

Also, the "edge" has been in there since the beginning, and he's always been a Radical Nutcase; Cujo is named after some member of the Symbionese Liberation Army that he sympathized with. All his books are about his dislikes and neuroticisms. Every based character that appears is a secret asshole. He's been mentally ill to the point of hospitalization at least once.

I would say the only semi-descent ending was the Shining, which was left out of the movie, is that the Father gained control of himself for a few seconds from the possession/spirit of the resort and blew up the building to save his family. But that was his fears of being a father.

But yeah, totally overrated.

I never read that book. I enjoyed the film. I also liked The Shawshank Redemption, and Dolores Claiborne. He's the only author that I know of where the film adaptations of his books are consistently and considerably better than the source material.

Engh, people have different tastes, but I really grew to hate Stephen King. People all around me always praised him and after going through a few of his books I just couldn't understand it - but it's not like I didn't enjoy stuff as a kid that if I had to read now would be like chewing tinfoil as I shaved my head with a cheese grater.
