Check out the Minority Population Growth between 1950 and 1960, from the Borough of the Bronx to Broward County (Miami) in Florida. 50, 100, even 150% growth in a single decade.
Not just South to North. While the Bronx went from less than 5% Black to over 10% Black between 1950 and 1960, Dade (Miami) had 111% growth from less than 7% to 15% in just 10 years.
My mother told me the other night, in her Brooklyn neighborhood, it was the Black Head Nurse who was leader of the Neighborhood Group. He fought the hardest against selling to the Country Bumpkin Negroes, who were usually fronts for Banking interests. As soon as the first defectors (Italians who just built a home in Eastern LI) sold, the banks swooped in to low ball everybody.
Contrary to common belief, it was actually a way to lowball the properties away from White Blue Collars to Banks, who then rented to Negroes/City as Public Housing or converted them outright to expensive public housing projects with City Taxpayer money.

Oh, it was well known. The real estate term for that is "Block Busting." Block busting is illegal but very hard to prove. That worked at a time when a Black family moving into a White neighborhood would seriously lower the neighborhoods property values. Not really a factor anymore except for rich limousine liberal enclaves. If you are Black and want to live in the Kennedy clan section of a place like Martha's Vineyard, you'd better be Barak Obama.
