I went to a local bar/pizza place near work yesterday to get a bite to eat. They're weren't airing the Olympics. Some baseball game was playing instead. I see 0 interest in the games, and nobody I know has even mentioned the Olympics other than to make some fun of it.

Glad to see the US womyn's soccer team get taken out. I really dislike Megan Rapinoe. She's just such an disingenuous asshole. Reminds me of Anita Sarkeesian who doesn't bring up actual issues, but constantly manufacturers them. This 4th wave of feminism is just a parody of the original feminism.

When my mother was first married in the early 1960's, the second she got married, her boss fired her, because, well she was married. She was a graphic artist. I don't know if she intended to keep her job or not, but when her aunt was a teacher, her aunt had to plan her pregnancies so she would give birth in summer otherwise she could lose her job.

But when I was in school, I had a female math teacher that consistently had pregnancies in fall, so she was out of school, for 3 months, during the start of the school year. She did this two times. I ended up taking AP math through a television system with a town 30 miles away with an experimental microwave IT system. She actually complained that they weren't using her to teach AP, but she was never around for 1/3rd of the school year. It's a liability to hire women, and that's just a biological fact.

If she had legitimate complaints, I'd listen to her, but she's bitching that she's not paid enough, when there's FAR less interest in women's soccer than men's soccer. I went to Japan with the wife in August of 2013, and it was horribly hot and humid. That's why the tickets were cheap and the hotels had a lot of space, but we didn't know it until we got there.

When my wife heard that the Olympics were going to be in late July and early August, she reminded me of that.
