I made another disturbing discovery about the CDC Data.
I downloaded the latest "Death by cause" dataset and something seemed a bit off. I created a new column that calculated the difference between the "all cause" column and the sum of individual causes. The sum of deaths from all causes didn't equal the "All Cause" column. I noticed that the discrepancy was usually positive but sometimes negative. Hmmm? I then graphed this column against the "deaths from covid" column and they correlated almost perfectly. WOW! WTF?

I figured I must have been making a mistake.

I then took the last five years dataset and did the same thing. Here are the results:

I'm going to have to let this sink in.

Are there any Spreadsheet masters out there that can verify my work?

The data is available from the CDC.

Is that deaths per month? Maybe you can label the y axis or change the title.

It is very weird though. You'd think "All Cause - Sum" would include the Coof.

But it looks like the sum of the two is constant, until recently.

I'm competent in GNUPlot - are you using Linux by any chance?

No. I an still using the eugenicist's software. I am a master of Access and Excel.

I am very disturbed.
6   Karloff   2021 Aug 18, 7:32pm

Don't some deaths count as multiple causes? Perhaps these only count as +1 to the all_causes field? Not sure how'd you'd ever get a negative discrepancy in that case though.

Please send link to cdc data set and I can review.
(I'm an Excel ninja!)

If I follow, you saying the "all cases" number reported excludes Covid deaths? Thereby making the sum of "death by cause" not matching the total shown under "all causes"?

Further if "covid" is one of the causes that make up the "death by cause" subset, it would seem at first glance that they are double counting covid deaths? Is that what you're getting at?

Of course! Duh!
That's it.
Sorry folks false alarm.
That's why I asked for help.

Still, there is something fishy about the CDC 's numbers.

Please do download the data from the CDC. Search for "CDC death by cause" "CDC death by age" etc.

There are a bunch of datasets that you can download but they are a little bit buried.

I would really appreciate someone double checking my analysis.

I have been saving the old downloads from the CDC and I am going to compare them. I have noticed old numbers changing with the new download.

This is clearly a seismograph indicating Richter 10.0 plus deception.

Update

That makes more sense! Still, what's up with the discreancy?

I used gnuplot for 20 years. It's very useful.

They released a week of deaths in one data point which rose above the total deaths. Since the dats points could include up to a week or more of deaths, it’s hard to make a chart that protrays the situation accurately. The problem is with the “n”

They do fuck with cases as well. You notice that some days counties and even whole states don't report and then all of those simply get added to the next day, thus creating days with over 150k cases and thus the seeds for the !covid! fear porn narrative, but there are at least 2 or 3 days per week below 50k positive tests. I'd say they average 100k positive tests per day of which easily 25% are false positives and a other 25% completely asymptomatic, which prob leaves you with 50k people in the US getting sick per day from covid out of 400MM, or 0.01%. Not really a pandemic and hence no crowded hospitals. If 2% of those will need to go to the hospital it would be 1000 hospital admissions across the US per day.

By any chance all these doctors doing anything unthinkable to unvaccinated to add to death count to get gov funds.

Healthcare is a business. Even the docs. Everyone is trying to get more $$$$ all the time.

The largest purchase of most peoples lives is their home and the original premise of this site was real estate and how the industry was shady (partially and rent vs. own). If anyone thinks the medical field is wholesome, you're delusional. Medical costs are the 2nd largest (sometimes first) expense for every US citizen. Surely that would never be manipulated, right? (sarc). This seems to be a scheme to make people a lot of money and have control over us. Seemingly it's working.

I'm entirely incompetent with Access and Excel.

You might want to play around with LibreOffice which is GPL because, well, fuck Microsoft.

https://www.libreoffice.org/

I'd be curious what you thought of it compared to MS Office. LibreOffice is free, and I think it's pretty good. It's my contention that the ONLY reasons people still use MS Office is because 1) they don't know LibreOffice exists and 2) Their company uses MS Office, because they've ALWAYS used MS Office, and when MS Office screws up they have somebody to yell at on the phone with a support contract.

Haven't tried libreoffice. Yet. Used to love Lotus 123 but Bill killed it.

Any home user of MS Office that I've been able to convince to try LibreOffice has left MS Office - and believe me, to get them to try it is like pulling teeth.

Give it a go. I'd be curious as to your thoughts on how it compares.
22   HeadSet   2021 Aug 23, 5:56pm

LibreOffice Write is much easier to make complex documents than using Word, especially if you have imbedded charts and graphics. Calc and Excel are pretty comparable for most users (although Patnetter TPB hates Calc for some reason). However Base does not match Access, especially if you need VBA and use lots of macros.

Access

Access makes it too easy for amateurs to create fucked up databases.

I like it anyway.
