https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/california-businesses-leaving-state-accelerates-in-2021

265 companies moved their headquarters to other states just in the period from January 1, 2018, through June 30, 2021, based on the date of the announcement or date of documentation with the state, whichever came first,” the report said. “The losses are accelerating in that such relocations in the first half of 2021, which total 74, exceed that for all of 2020. Every month in 2021, twice as many companies are relocating their headquarters as in the prior year. ...

The authors stress that the numbers are likely understated since smaller companies aren’t required to disclose a move.

In their research, the authors found “high tax rates, punitive regulations, high labor costs, high utility and energy costs, and declining quality of life for many Californians which reflects the cost of living and housing affordability,” as reasons for the moves.

They spoke with some business owners who didn’t move in 2020 for fear of COVID-19 infection when traveling and working with site selectors on a new location.

The most common destinations for states leaving California are Texas, Arizona and Nevada.

My liberal friends tell me that red counties in CA are racist.

But spending time in Bakersfield and Fresno this week, there sure are a lot of Larry Elder signs all over.

Maybe they aren’t so racist afterall and the liberals are the ones with the problem?

tell your liberal friends that they are racist if they vote for a fucking white heterosexual male from a rich family over a black man who came from humble beginnings and inner city.

Now that I think your liberal friends ARE racists...

Larry Elder is just way too white for me.

Case No. 2:21-cv-06558-MWF-KS, Clark v. Weber

"First, as a matter of logic and common sense, it simply is not true that Plaintiff only gets to vote once while others get to vote twice. Plaintiff and all California voters have the opportunity to vote two distinct issues. The first is whether the Governor should be recalled. Plaintiff and all other voters have the opportunity but not the obligation to vote for a replacement candidate. Obviously, that vote only matters if a majority of the voters turn out to have voted “Yes.” Plaintiff and all other voters have the same equal vote as to who the Governor’s replacement should be. Voters do not need to vote on the recall in order to vote on a replacement candidate.

Plaintiff plainly feels disgruntled that a replacement candidate with a small plurality might replace a sitting governor who, based on a robust “No” vote, might well have beaten that same replacement candidate in a general election. As that may be, such disgruntlement raises no federal constitutional issues and certainly does not give the federal judiciary the right to halt the mammoth undertaking of this gubernatorial recall election. No one suggests that a state constitutional mechanism for recall is in itself unconstitutional. If the possibility for recall exists, then a means for selecting a successor must be specified. No doubt, it would be cheaper and simpler to replace a sitting governor with the lieutenant governor. But for over one hundred years, California has chosen a different procedure. The United States Constitution does not prevent that.

https://babylonbee.com/news/scandal-as-newsom-campaign-produces-old-yearbook-photos-showing-larry-elder-in-blackface

SACRAMENTO, CA—Larry Elder's campaign for governor of California was thrown into turmoil today after Gavin Newsom's anti-recall campaign produced never-before-seen yearbook photos showing Larry Elder wearing blackface.

"This is beyond the pale," said French Chef Pierre D’issoir, who is running Newsom's campaign. "Not only is Larry Elder totally a white supremacist, but we now have proof that he wore blackface as a young man in college! Absolument honteux!"

Newsom will be spending $12 million in predominately black areas of Southern California to remind black voters that Elder is a fake black person—and that pasty white millionaire, winery owner, and French cuisine connoisseur Gavin Newsom is a better choice for the black community than Larry Elder.

"Sometimes we need to spend millions of dollars to remind minorities what's best for them," said Newsom. "Right now, what's best for them is being locked in their homes and given forced vaccinations. Larry Elder will try to come in and offer to lower their taxes, give them jobs, and heal their communities, but the thing that really matters here is that he wore blackface."

The scandal deepened later that afternoon when Larry Elder made an appearance, still wearing blackface.

Gavin Newsom is the fist black Governor of CA! The history has already been made!

Some in my NextDoor area are putting out a message "Make sure you vote!" but aren't advising people on how to vote. The posters seem to think it's good to get lazy, uninformed, and uninterested people to vote. Weird.

that's funny the owner from the moving company in TX told he was worried to set up shop in Dallas because he employs blacks and hispanics but it was SF who were racist.

At just about a week and a half until the recall vote I'm looking for strength from the pro recall voters. I'm starting to see no on recall signs and feel we need to get out in strength to show people the numbers are there that support recall. Anyone know of events going on until election day? Anything in Contra Costa County?

The California Senate just passed a bill requiring "gender-neutral" displays for toys and childcare products in stores ... because there's nothing else more urgent happening right now apparently

Not just Newscum. Recall all Democrats.

And then recall all RINOs too.

A group of election security experts on Thursday called for a rigorous audit of the upcoming recall election for California’s governor after copies of systems used to run elections across the country were released publicly.

Their letter sent to the secretary of state’s office urges the state to conduct a type of post-election audit that can help detect malicious attempts to interfere.

They will certainly cheat again and again and again as long as they can.

Today I went to a recall Newsom protest on the Belmont pedestrian overpass. Wasn't in San Mateo this time.

Some things I learned:

A woman who is an election observer told me that sample ballots which look almost identical to the real ballots were mailed out in the same envelopes to deliberately confuse people, and indeed she said there is a large stack of sample ballots in the counting place, ballots which people filled out by mistake. Normally a sample ballot would be sent only for an election with dozens of choices to make, but in this case there are only two circles to fill in: yes or no on the recall, and a choice for Newsom's replacement. She also said that they are allowed to "transcribe" the sample ballots onto the correct official ballots, but there is nothing preventing the person doing the transcribing from changing the votes of those people.

My wife points out that the sample ballots usually come separately, in a different mailing entirely, to avoid just this sort of confusion.

An immigrant guy told me that his work in requires him to submit to the jab or be laid off. He flatly refuses to take it and said his relatives back in his home country are all refusing to take the shot as well. So he is definitely hoping for the recall to go through and for Larry Elder to end the jab mandates.

Most people there knew about Dr. Malone's Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/RWMaloneMD

There was a ton of supportive honking from the cars below, which is good. I think Newsom is definitely out if the election is fair, but they all expect Democrats to try to cheat again.

Keep in mind that Kamala was popular enough in California to get elected Senator. Also notice that Newsome is having woman campaign for him - Kamal, Warren, Klobachar. Now when they steal the election, they can claim it was the "woman's vote" brought in by these 3 that turned the tide.

Of course not.

I really don't see how it generates fear. I think it's more "conform".

Some people are genuinely afraid and may never stop wearing a mask. Most just conform because it's easier than bucking the system.

At the gym today: several older guys just plain took them off when on the machines, and a few younger guys as well. Lots of masks exposing noses. No Karens, and no staff checking at all even when they went by. Shows that people are sick of them and know they are being idiocracied.

This was in Tri Valley. Back in Santa Cruz, I was on a machine with my black silk 'hole mask' breathing just fine. A Karen and a staff member walked right in front of me and Karen pointed to a couple of older guys who had their masks down, and the staff guy half heartedly went and reminded them and left. Karen was two feet away from me and couldn't detect my hole mask, so my mask theater works a pip.
