It's all there, from San Francisco, worked for Google, yoga instructor. And what was the point of taking a newborn into the wilderness? I'm a fan of the great indoors, love to commune with central air and indoor plumbing. People ought to leave those places alone!

Who gives a shit?

Very interesting in how they all got whacked without leaving a trace.

Were they all vaccinated? Just kidding.

A carbon dioxide plume could do it.

Is that common? I have heard of a lake in Africa that releases a large CO2 bubble every decade or so and suffocates everything in the surrounding area. But that that takes an extreme amount of CO2. What in the dry forest could generate that amount of CO2?

I live in this area now (Mariposa) and no one in their right mind would hike in Devil's Gulch in August. It's hell on earth. My guess is heat stroke. The Hites Cove area is nice when the poppies bloom in March and April. These folks were really dumb, sorry to say. And I am a Bay Area native.

Look up Horse Shoe lake in Mammoth, I think a CO2 burst took out some people there. Volcanic plume.

Sloppy careless reporting that's all.
They drone on about toxic algae but the toxicology report did not produce evidence of it.
I'm with the CO2 theory also.

The dog would have survived heat. Also the autopsy report would have said they were dehydrated, or died from overheating.

Yeah it's weird about the dog. But this area is way out there. I have been on the ridges above it. Extremely steep and dangerous. Not a place for a casual hike, especially with a baby. But now I hear that there is some toxic algae in the Merced river along Highway 140 and BLM is closing some popular campgrounds and day use sites where everyone swims. This family may have gone down to the south fork of the Merced where Devil's Gulch runs into Savages and then Hites Cove. Like I said, not a place to hike in August. Maybe it was toxic algae, who knows? But if the family got sick maybe the dog wouldn't leave them, or couldn't find it's way out

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the family was reported missing at 11 p.m. Aug. 16. The next day, search teams found the couple’s vehicle near one of the gates to the Sierra National Forest. Their bodies were found a short time later near Devil Gulch.

Jeez, by Devil Gulch. Have to say that's a bit creepy.

The guy did formerly work for Google, which is definitely at satanic levels of evil.

A Sierra Club directed energy weapon microwaved them because they offended a spotted owl.

I'll never forget camping in the snow at 7000' in the mountains above LA. The campground was surprisingly busy for January, and from a nearby tent I could hear the occasional sounds of a legit BABY crying! So yes, extreme hiking and camping with an infant is totally a thing.

It's the Covid Fauci-Napoleonic Code: Everything and Anything IS Covid until proven beyond any reasonable doubt to be NOT Covid.
