20 years ago I was working for a Middle Eastern guy in London. I was horrified watching the attacks but more horrifying was my boss celebrating #911attack with a choc cake! Me & my Polish friend were only employees who refused to eat the cake. We soon left jobs !

Most of those who carried out the #911attack were Saudi ! Since 2001 the west has provided billions worth of arms to the Saudis who have in return devastated #Yemen & allegedly supported ISIS !

It is wrong that any Sikhs get blamed at all for 9/11.

Sikhs have nothing in common with Taliban. They face same brutality at hands of Taliban like others.

Both Sikhs and Hindus (sorry, Bharti) are blamed for 9/11 because of their skin color, whereas even the Boston Bombers, both white Muslims & from the former Soviet Union, are perfectly OK, just because of their skin color. The only reason why Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is on death row (or life imprisonment) today instead of living the American dream of being a white guy from the former Soviet Union, working as a physical therapist in the greater Boston area, is because of Islam and not his race/color.

FYI, I haven't met a physical therapist who wasn't employed.

This is why I tend to agree w/ the anti-Apu sentiments on the Simpsons because for 20+ years, a dark skinned Hindu, living in America, had a thick accent and was already treated as 'foreign', not American, and possibly a terrorist. This doesn't help the South Asian community at all.

I have read and think it's true that Sikhism evolved out of Hinduism as a defensive response to repeated Muslim invasions and massacres in India.

It is kind of long convoluted history.
First Sikh guru "Guru Nanak" was born Hindooo , But revolted against discriminatory and superstitious Hindooo cult. Hindooo elites never get along well with him as he exposed their bad deeds. The first two disciples of him were Hindoo and Muslim.
Sikhs had 10 gurus and first few were peace with Muslims and mostly worked against Hindooo superstitions. Hindooo tried to drive the wedge between Muslim kings and Sikhs and they succeeded.
Sikh most sacred place "Golden temple" foundation was laid by Muslim saint.

Later Muslim kings like Jahangir and Aurangzeb were very brutal and oppressive and Sikh gurus fought against them.
In conclusion Hindoo hate the first Gurus as they exposed Hindoo cult and Muslims hate later gurus as they fought against their tyranny.

You have to remember that Hindoo is also cult of Islam like Wahhabi. Hindooo is not native to Bharat.
Hindooo : backstabbing cult created by islamists to back stab bhartis and spread disinformation, discrimination and cowardice... It is like modern lefties destroying US from inside by promoting conflict and taking away fighting capabilities of society.
Wahabbi : Frontal attack on Bhartis.

Sikhs disturbed that apple-cart of colonists by uniting Bhartis against Islamic tyranny from west and closing off attacks coming from Afghanistan.
Sikh empire had power given to all communities like Muslim, Hindooo etc. as they were uniting society.
