One bite at a time.

Left-Liberals have used this tactic to amazing effect over a few decades.

They gnaw at the margins of an issue - say, social promotion, or offering remedial classes in College to excuse the attendance of countless less qualified Minority Students with substantially lower SAT scores. A little while later, they're defending minimum passing grades for all kids. Then they're flat out admitting unqualified students to college and demanding Professors pass them regardless of their performance.

We can do the same.

We can do it with guns - let's push open carry without CCW. We can do it with Religious Exemptions - specifically exclude the ability to shut down Churches or for employers to reject Religious Exemptions like the current bill in Florida. Banning Third Trimester Abortions.

"But it's rare!" Nevermind. When you gain victories, it seizes the initiative and creates momentum. And Leftists have to draw resources away from their current efforts in other areas, like Basic Universal Income or DIE Imposition in K12, in order to deal with you stealing a march on territory they felt they already conquered.

The most successful campaign Republicans pushed in the past 30 years was Charter Schools. It really shocked the Teacher's Unions who are still crusading to halt their progress, much less reverse the gains. Fighting it sucks up quite a bit of the Union's War Chest.

So let's keep pushing with vouchers. How about giving parents the right to use part of the per student/year spending on private school? Another Florida innovation. It starts getting a partial giveback of per pupil spending. The end goal is private education with some objective, minimal standards set by the state.

Another great idea is having the Red States write History, Geography, and Law textbooks for K-12, and distributing them for free, saving tens of millions of taxpayer dollars while excluding Woke Publishers like Houghton-Mifflin, Scholastic, etc. and all the kickbacks they offer teachers and admins, weakening EduAmin.

We want to be modest and reasonable at first, just a little bite. Then we'll eat the whole fucking thing. Just like they do.

That endeavor will require employees with experience. Where do you think those employees will come from?
The best course of action is to make the propagation of Communism a Federal crime, punishable to 20 years in prison.

Most School "Social Studies" textbooks are written by early 30s Liberal Arts Majors, same FBBs "Journalist" types working for HuffPo or Yahoo!. Usually with a gloss of liberal Professors of note so they can put their names on the cover.

This is a way for the State Legislature to funnel money to Based Professors and Writers - the exact same way Shitlibs use public funds to give to "Community Organizers" and Woke Professors. At the same time it cuts off Far Left Textbook Publishers and Leftist Academics/Educators from getting money.

Homeschool Publishing Powerhouse Abeka is in Pensacola. Why give Florida money to Manhattan or San Fran?

State schools in Red states should hire conservative philosophers, social scientists, etc. Give them a research chair, call this opportunity hire, and the atmosphere of most virulent SJW departments will change. Students going through those departments will stop being pantifa assholes.

Exactly.

Another method would be to have a "State Tenure Review Board" empowered by the Legislature to nominate Professors to Colleges and Universities and bypass the Tenured Trotskyites Controlling the Tenure Board. They should insure "Intellectual Diversity" and also "Florida Values", meaning that the History or Sociology Department shouldn't be all Woke Socialists.

The Trotskytes have centralized everything to the point that college presidents and provosts now control tenure boards to a large extent. Install a conservative college president and just follow procedures established by Trotskites...

Perhaps students could get together and directly hire their own professors, as suggested by Adam Smith.

If they did it as a PMA and didn't use the world "school" they would also be exempt from all regulations applying to schools.

If you meet a sociopath halfway three times you end up 87.5% toward their goal.

Don't negotiate with sociopaths or socialists.

Current woke students will hire profs who give them all A's with no studying

In the age of online textbooks this becomes feasible. The only part you need to fund is the creation of the textbooks. Distribution is nearly free.

@Bd6r this is true, and even worse: if students are given money to spend on professors, they will choose professors who pay them kickbacks.

But it will then all come down to the reputation of the individual professors. People will want the students of the best professors.

Who would you select as the best gender studies professor?

You know the students will want one.
13   Patrick   2021 Oct 10, 9:43pm

No professor of gender studies can be reputable at all.

The entire field is a farce which abuses the resentments of women and gays in order to secure and promote its own professors' salaries, exactly like CRT with respect to black people.

They are grifters with a message carefully crafted to appeal to certain base emotions.

Yet these are quite popular studies. So, if you let students choose, they will be among the most popular fields, since no intellect and work is required to bash Fucking White Males...

What students choose is easy courses/easy professors, despite later implications. Petroleum engineering graduates have their starting salaries in 100-110K range, yet there are more students learning about Feminism Philosophy where the degree "earned" is useless.
