The one thing everyone involved in the process can agree on is that Steve Bannon has important insights related to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He was in communications with Donald Trump in the runup to the insurrectionist riot, and he reportedly told the then-president, "[I]t's time to kill the Biden presidency in the crib."

The day before the attack, Bannon seemed to know quite a bit about what was likely to happen, telling his podcast listeners, "All hell is going to break loose tomorrow. Just understand this: All hell is going to break loose tomorrow.... [A]ll I can say is: Strap in. You have made this happen, and tomorrow it's game day."

With this in mind, it hardly came as a surprise when the bipartisan House committee investigating the attack issued subpoenas a few weeks ago, seeking information from key Trump insiders — and Bannon was at the top of the list.

Yesterday, the former White House strategist faced a congressional deadline for testimony and documents. As expected, Bannon declined to comply with the subpoena. As NBC News reported, lawmakers are now prepared to escalate matters.

If they arrest him, then it becomes a criminal matter. And all outcomes from a criminal investigation might flow back up hill to the creators of this sham bogus charges, on all things related to January 6th. They wont do dick all, because they need the Jan 6th canard to continue through the midterm elections. That's how long they plan on letting the people they arrested rot in jail. They go arresting high profile people, they wont get away with just locking them up indefinitely, they will have to speedy trial on the contempt charges .

Those idiots are playing right into the GOP's hands. This will rev up the base big time. Way more than it will with the Dem's base.

Possibly, but it sure is a warning to any individual that dares run for office without being an establishment candidate. Starbuck's Swartz is certain to take notice and not run again. What the establishment is really saying to the billionaire "Do not run for office just because you can afford to. If you want something done, bribe an establishment politician."

They shouldn't arrest Bannon, but they should arrest his makeup department, hair stylist and costume designer.

Oh, they are probably all the same person, Bannon himself. He's one of the most famous people to chronically look like an unmade bed.
