... In his literally mindless way, Biden said out loud what health officials everywhere have been implying since the vaccines became widely available. Those who are not vaccinated are killing their more responsible peers.

In the Republic of Ireland, however, health officials are running out of people to blame. This has becoming embarrassingly obvious in County Waterford. As reported in the Irish Times, the nation’s establishment newspaper, two of the three most COVID-infected electoral areas in Ireland are located in the county “with the highest rate of vaccination in the country.” In Waterford, a remarkable 99.7 percent of adults over the age of 18 is fully vaccinated.

Notice of Liability and Urgent Request for Clarity and Enforcement of Regulatory Standards.

We are writing to formally express our concerns and report potential violations by Pfizer in their recent public roadshow at Suntec City from 1-3 March 2024, and associated promotional activities in MRTs, buses, etc.

Upon contacting the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) on 4 March 2024, Ms Iris Koh spoke with Ms. Stellar Ee, seeking clarification on the regulatory status of such events. It was indicated that entities like Pfizer operate under a "self-regulatory" framework, a notion that raises significant concerns given Pfizer's historical legal and regulatory challenges. This communication serves as a Notice of Liability, drawing attention to potential breaches of the EXPLANATORY GUIDANCE TO THE HEALTH PRODUCTS (ADVERTISEMENT OF SPECIFIED HEALTH PRODUCTS) REGULATIONS 2016 and the Medicines Act, particularly in the context of Project Vax.

Despite acknowledgments from event staff regarding prohibitions on promoting vaccinations directly, the roadshow and its associated materials appeared to contravene several key regulatory provisions, including but not limited to:

Section 2.4.4 (Causing Fear and Alarm): Utilizing Marvel Comic characters to implicitly promote vaccination creates undue fear and alarm among the public, leveraging emotional responses rather than informed consent.

Violation of Section 2.4.9 (Recommendations and Endorsements): The engagement of celebrities to endorse the 'Project Vax' initiative could unduly influence public perception, encouraging vaccine use in a manner that may contravene HSA's guidelines intended to safeguard public health.

Non-compliance with 2.4.3 (Truthfulness): There has been a failure to accurately disclose the nature, quality, and potential side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines, resulting in misleading representations about their safety and efficacy. Such actions not only undermine public trust but also pose significant risks to community health.

Impact of HSA's Negligence

The perception of HSA's negligence in enforcing these guidelines has far-reaching implications, potentially jeopardizing public health. Such oversight allows for an environment where unregulated or insufficiently vetted drugs could pose serious health risks.

Personal and Public Damages:

The lack of stringent regulatory action has caused significant stress and emotional hurt among citizens, including myself, fostering a sense of insecurity over the safety of medical products available. Living in an environment where pharmaceutical giants, such as Pfizer, are perceived to operate with "self-regulation" directly contradicts the protective intent of the Medicines Act, thereby endangering public health and safety. Concerns Regarding Pfizer's Roadshow:

The heart of my inquiry lies in whether Pfizer obtained the requisite permit for their roadshow and, if so, the specifics of HSA's approval. If no permit was issued, as suggested by Ms. Stellar Ee, it begs the question of how such an event could proceed in apparent violation of the Medicines Act. It is clearly stated that permits are required when doing any kind of public advertising.

This situation demands a comprehensive investigation to ensure that all pharmaceutical promotions comply with our nation's strict regulatory standards. The HSA must act decisively to uphold the integrity of our healthcare system and protect public health.

In light of these serious concerns and in the interests of public health and transparency, we strongly urge HSA to:

Provide specific details regarding the permit issuance for Pfizer's roadshow.
Clearly outline the steps being taken to address these potential regulatory breaches and how will HSA be doing to safeguard public health from misleading adverisements
Communicate findings and actions taken transparently to the public.
We trust that the HSA will act promptly to investigate these concerns and take appropriate actions to safeguard public health. We look forward to a detailed response within a specific timeframe, underscoring the urgency of this matter.
