We had a family bash last weekend. The daughters and their cousins, mid 20's. Before the election were saying how everyone they knew were brainwashed and stupid and planned on voting for Biden. They like Trump, but they said, it seems everyone they know hates Trump.
Well this last weekend, they were laughing how every single last one of them are all on Facebook, TIcToc and Twitter, saying they wished they never voted for Biden. Anecdotal, but true none the less,
The embarrassment in the Coastal Elite LibbyFucks is palpable. They really do think they are intellectually superior, and when they are conned at this level it is an extreme narcissistic insult when it dawns on them. It would be funny if it weren't tragic.
Somebody has to make a social network in S. Dakota.
Some people have to do real work. We can't eat ipads or facebooks...
PRECISELY.
The irony is that the people on the coasts - THEY are the useless eaters. The "smart" people are the most propagandized people - which is why they think they are so smart, and they are also part of the promulgation of propaganda without even being aware of it.
Now the novelty of technology is wearing off, I expect the next step is a complete democratization of "propaganda" - or in this case, actual information.
All the high tech companies in Silly Con Valley I predict have peaked. Do you REALLY need a "better" video game console, computer, phone? Why? It won't be long before people who get the newest $1,000 iPhone are just considered stupid for spending so much on a $100 device.
Do you REALLY need a "better" video game console, computer, phone?
I would be able to survive without all of those - I never owned a video game console, I don't really need a cellphone, and computer I need for my work, mostly for email and typing, which means a year 2000 vintage computer is all that I need.
I would not be able to survive without food or fuel. Somehow progressives on coasts don't understand it. It perhaps makes me a bad person, but I wish these progressives would experience situation when they need to grow their own food.
It won't be long before people who get the newest $1,000 iPhone are just considered stupid for spending so much on a $100 device.
Don't hold your breath.
Haha, I can see history.
There was a time when owning a giant projection television was a "keeping up with the Joneses" thing - is it now? My poor ass neighbors on veterans disability have a 60" 4K television. Their television is bigger than the viewscreen on the original Star Trek television show.
I've ALWAYS looked at people that bought Apple products as "stupid". No offense to anybody that has them, but they are over-priced and under designed. MacOS is nothing more than a shitty version of Linux. Linux has a SLIGHTLY higher learning curve, but hardly immense today. 30 years ago, you had to know what you were doing to install Slackware - now, just install Ubuntu, MXLinux or Lubuntu - the problem is the ENORMOUS variety - where to start? But once you dive in to a NON crappy version of Linux - you'll have it figured out in a day. It took me 3 days to a week to get Slackware running, but when I finally managed to go through all that pain, I had a fucking workstation that cost 1/7th the cost of a Sun workstation back in the early 1990s. I was making $60K back then, it was well worth it.
It's no longer a problem of a learning curve, it's just a matter of figuring out what is what. Most people are like "What will I do without MS Office???" - that's because they don't know LibreOffice exists. They don't know what the equivalents are. There's no advertising budget.
When I pick up an iPhone, I'm immediately hit with annoyance and confusion, but it doesn't take more than a few minutes to get the hang of it. It's the same for a user of iPhone to Android. The idea that it's "hard" to learn a new system is a Public Relations technique. Anybody can learn to use a new OS, a new system, in a few minutes, but they are intimidated by doing it. They don't want to feel stupid for 10-20 minutes. I have no problem feeling stupid for under 1/2 hour. That's the real reason people get raped by Apple - not because it's objectively superior, but because they are familiar with it, and Windows really did suck (and still does in many ways) and Linux is "for experts". Not at all.
This website, it's running Linux. Everything does today. You use Linux more than you use any other operating system, without being aware of it.
In a few more years, buying a phone will be like buying a lamp or a bucket or a mop. There will be no social status associated with it.
We'll continue to simplify. We're all autistic weirdos that just don't know what is intuitive, because nothing is intuitive to us.
I actually had a girlfriend who went to Harvard object to the idea of direct democracy because she didn't want "them" to have such a direct influence on the laws.
Because you know, they're stupid hicks.
So glad we broke up long ago. Now I find she's for the fascist demand for the injection, and I'm not surprised. Perfectly in character.

It's true.
I've heard the opinion from a handful of libs that it would be better if all those stupid rural people couldnt vote. Especially college grads - they like to say that "college teaches you how to think critically" and that elitism is often mentioned in some roundabout way as a justification for why their thinking / opinions are more correct.
It must be an opinion installed into them by the propaganda channels. My experience is the most naive are the ones who often think this way.
Weird ads with that Stephanie Murphy, they're like pressure ads coming from multiple angles. She's basically a neolib/con.
Some are full of genderqueers presenting her as a LGBTQ savior. Others are full of patriotic imagery presenting her as a National Defense (read: Endless Meddler) advocate with NO LGBTQ123+ figures. Some demand she take action on some Medicaid Giveaway bill. There's another I can't remember that salutes her for not raising taxes.
Her seat is totally vulnerable. I think the RINOs let her stay for being a Neocon/Neolib when they let Biden steal the election in this County.
At 50, I still love Ted Geisel. Dr. Seuss was a damned mercenary when he was cutting through societal propaganda bullshit. The original creator of memes in my opinion. Nobody could touch him. He was vicious.
I happen to know that iPhone users are really, really fucking snobby. And that won't change anytime soon. It will only increase.
There was a time where there was a real war over "what was better". Today, it's all the same. I can decry (and often do) that x86 won out, but it won out. I have to deal with it. We have 8 and 16 core chips now, with ARM, we have 64 cores on the same die - they all run slower, but they use the same space and you have massive parallelization. It does take time, but eventually superior architectures and designs do win, even if it takes 1/2 a lifetime. A freaking toy machine, smaller than a pack of playing cards, is vastly superior to a computer from 2000, and it's $75. It's amazing. A TOY is now vastly more powerful than a workstation was in 2000 today. It's astounding. It uses 10 watts, has 4 GB or memory, and 128GB of storage (more or less, depending on what SD card you plug into it - I usually use 128GB). It's astounding.
It may take the death of all the people using iPhones to kill Apple, but it will happen.

For some reason, the FL Senate is being weak on redistricting now that the Census is in.

I've been on both coasts. This is absolutely true.
