In addition to the OSHA employer mandate being struck down, today a judge similarly halted Biden’s vax mandate for federal contractors.

I’m cautiously optimistic this ruling sticks moving forward. Judge states this mandate serves as a regulation of public health rather than actually benefitting procurement of federal contracts.

I love moments like this. A bit of faith in our institutions restored.

It's not stopping my company from demanding it.

There's a difference between gubermint mandates and corporate mandates.

Well, it will likely fall apart for corporations if the mandates keep failing. Simply because they will have a hard time filling positions as people will migrate to companies that don't require it.

Give it time.

A federal judge in Georgia on Tuesday temporarily halted the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors across the country.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge R. Stan Baker, an appointee of former President Trump, is the latest in a series of legal setbacks for President Biden as his administration seeks to blunt the effects of a global pandemic that has killed more than 788,000 people in the U.S.

“The Court acknowledges the tragic toll that the COVID-19 pandemic has wrought throughout the nation and the globe,” Baker wrote in a 28-page ruling. “However, even in times of crisis this Court must preserve the rule of law and ensure that all branches of government act within the bounds of their constitutionally granted authorities.”

Baker, whose order blocks the mandate while the case plays out in court, said the challengers were likely to prevail on their claim that Biden exceeded his authority with the public health measure.

Federal contractors were facing a Jan. 18 deadline to be fully vaccinated.

Late last month, a Kentucky-based federal judge issued a narrower ruling that blocked the federal contractor mandate in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. Tuesday’s ruling effectively extended the freeze nationwide.

That might change as they have time to digest the news and reevaluate the landscape. Although, I would expect most companies to stay their course until a real block is announced, and not this temporary freeze.

I'm not worried about it.

I'm annoyed at society though.

I knew to be cautiously optimistic. I’ve read that employers are being advised to move forward with the mandate even though it is currently being challenged in court.

My company waited two days after the judges ruling then sent an email that they’re moving forward as a company with the mandate. I’m seeing what options I have but not sure if there are any. Hopefully others have more success. It sucks that my livelihood is being threatened by this. All in a days work for the authoritarian leftists destroying our Country.

Texas now has created a COVID-19 Vaccine mandate HOTLINE to report unconstitutional employee mandates.

The number is (800) 939-6631 or by emailing vaccine_job_loss@twc.texas.gov . Once the complaints have been verified, they will be referred for prosecution.

GE, 3M, and Verizon have also stopped forcing vaccinations…

And, oh yeah, HCA, the largest hospital chain in America. So that’s over a half-million employees set free right there.

Oracle (world's #2 software company, 132,000 employees) will not mandate Covid vaccinations

This follows the federal district court stay of the Biden vaccine mandate for federal contractors

Religious exemption
13   rigidmember   2021 Dec 9, 9:28pm

Realistically how well will a religious exemption work? My company will be conducting interviews for all religious exemption requesting employees with senior management who will then decide to grant or deny. I’m not religious enough to pass an interview where they’re going to be judging if my responses are religious enough.

Also, I personally know of people trying religious exemptions at a Bay Area transit agency who have been denied and are actually religious (pastors at a church).

Good luck with a medical exemption unless you have a legitimate health issue. I have a hard time believing any doctor will put their name on one. In private they’ll tell you don’t need the jab but have too much to lose if they get caught writing a questionable exemption.

Fuck them.

Tell them you are a Christian and you have prayed to Jesus and it has been revealed to you that you must remain pure or be damned to hell.

MAKE them fire you for not taking the jab. If you consent you have no case.
16   Onvacation   2021 Dec 9, 10:03pm

Then they have not only fired you for not taking the jab but also for your religious beliefs.

What have you got to lose?

Who really wants to work for somebody that insists you stick something in your body for money?

Sounds like a pimp.
