Gorsuch writes the majority opinion on Page 18, excoriates Sotomayor for not explaining her ruling in light of precedence, calling her view "Radical".

The statements I have read from Sotomayor display a subjective and not very intelligent perspective. It doesn't take a lawyer to see that pretty clearly. It seems she is lofted way above her highest level of incompetency. Roberts, of course, is merely Epsteined and doesn't rule from law, he takes dictation and wraps it in a legalese package for his owners.

It seems from those overheard tirades, Roberts is not above threatening and intimidating his fellow justices. He's also muscle for his owners.

There was a ruling or no? What was it?

Did anyone expect a female, race based pick by Obama to be intelligent? Classic left move of not picking the best and the brightest for a lifetime job with rare job openings and judging on some of the most important cases for our country. And just like Roberts with the Republicans, at some point Democrats are going to regret her being there if she stays radical and stupid.

OK, this is not the kind of thing I follow or know much about, but I have seen things that indicate that the Dem’s would benefit GREATLY by an overturning of Roe. It would be the great rallying focus and would be the one thing that might pull their asses out of the fire come the mid-terms. Could the The Supremes be subject to this kind of rank political maneuvering? At the expense of the rest of their legitimacy, at least to 1/2 of the country.
All of our institutions are losing their legitimacy right in front of us.

It upheld the enforcement of the Texas Abortion law for now. Did not render a final judgement.

Disagree here: It would be a huge WIN and BOON that finally a wickedness that imposed a Federal Level Right on the same level as 1A out of whole cloth was repealed. What folks don't understand is that Roe v. Wade claimed Abortion was to receive, alone among 10,000s of medical procedures, complete protection as a Natural Right.

States can and do have the right to regulate, for example, when death begins... 10 minutes after no heart beat for example. It would make determining death for medical/insurance/whatever purposes impossible without some kind of objective decree on this. Conversely, states should have a right to determine when life begins...

Sotomayor is an affirmative action college graduate.
She is now an affirmative action Supreme Court Judge.
Nobody takes advice from a fat, sweaty “wise Latina” in the real world, so why listen to her now?

No different than my Senator Tammy Duckworth. The left found a crippled military vet, female and hispanic. The ultimate political trifecta for fucks sake. She is utterly stupid if you hear her ever speak.

Every pick based on race or sex is not a pick based on competence.

This undermines all our institutions.

The laments that have been ringing down corridors for the last fifty odd years: "Fuck, here comes the diversity hire, duck."

What do they call diversity hires: 'Soros Rocket Launchers'.

Of course, who is worse, the pedo blackmailed Roberts or the SotoMoron?
13   Patrick   2023 Jul 12, 9:35pm

Sotomayor may not be the worst anymore, not since the most recent diversity hire.
14   Ceffer   2023 Jul 12, 9:48pm

You don't actually have to be a lawyer or a legal scholar to be appointed to SCOTUS, they just found out it usually worked out better that way.
15   AmericanKulak   2023 Jul 12, 10:38pm

Sotomayor has just been replaced for worst by Jackson
16   Ceffer   2023 Jul 13, 8:58am

Constitutional Ebonics for Dummies?
17   Ceffer   2023 Jul 13, 9:12am

Worse to have somebody like Roberts who is blackmailed, or somebody who is ignorant but has a chance of making the right decision by accident?

This imbecile does not qualify to be a Supreme Court Justice. Can we get rid of her?

This is the same context as how a woke jury works through jury nullification. Social justice rules supreme.

I've listened to her on TV boast about how she had low test scores yet still got into a very prestigious law school.

Same goes with the Castro brothers of Texas embellishing they got into Stanford with SAT scores of around 1200.
