The Fucking Commies are FUCKED, Fucked I tell ya! When America has had enough. The Fucking Commies that have hijacked our Nation so much to the point, they are now the policy makers. That when America comes for their necks, after we've had it to fucking HERE, with their filthy deviant Commie Shit, they are going to have to hire Jihad Mercenaries to hold the line around Nancy and Schiff's Capitol Wall.

Giddyup, we'll get a toofer!

Funny to watch people blame gays (5% of the population upper bound) for the fact that the military struggles to attract recruits even with large bonuses.

Fact is, for a young American with literally any other employment options, joining the military is a shitty value proposition for them, EVEN WITH all the perks that have been solidly in place for well over half a century. The more skilled and talented the recruit, the more likely the military is to stuff them into a position the MILITARY wants and needs of them, to the detriment of their career and possibly health. Also the well known fact that for all the lip service paid to the glory and sacrifice of serving the country, in return the country pays mostly only lip service to ACTUAL veterans. They're ordered to commit an environmental My Lai on a daily basis with hazardous dumping and burn pits that expose them and their entire unit to extremely toxic smoke and contaminate to uselessness entire water tables near military bases. The VA system is an absolute joke, and chronic service-caused injuries get victim-blamed away, with the resulting savings "earned" by a small number of people who make decisions like these without examining a single patient first.

I regularly see current active duty and recent and old veterans telling 18yos, especially those close to them, "DON'T believe what the recruiters tell you, DON'T join the military!"

Taking away your penchant for throwing pot-shots at the gay community at every opportunity, tell us: What does the military REALLY offer young recruits today, that's better than the existing shitty civilian job market? Would you honestly recommend your own children or high school age relatives in your extended family choose the military to exercise their talents and set their life trajectory?

I had a few students who are in military/National Guard complain that since the start of kung flu they have been completely overwhelmed. In normal times their deployment does not interfere too much with studies, but in last 2 yrs because covid, border crisis, etc they are not able to attend school at all.

GI Bill is still a thing, isn't it? So this would be the only reason to consider joining the military.

I'm not blaming gays, but the current DOJ top brass, is actively expunging any Alpha Hetero Males from the military, and by admission through their own recruitment adverts, aim to replace them with Queers, Trannies, Fags, and Woketard Commies who loathe America.
If you don't like that shit, then why don't you write your Liberal leadership and ask them "What the FUCK!?!!?"?

Stuff like this: https://www.marines.mil/News/News-Display/Article/2563751/new-marine-corps-maternity-uniforms-designed-by-women-for-women/?source=patrick.net

probably does not jive too well with qualities necessary in marines. Also, this woke crap did not start yesterday - I believe they watered down physical requirements for many army units because womyn and eventually had lower requirements for womyn period.

17–21 year-old males have to do at least 42 push-ups to pass an Army Physical Fitness Test, whereas females in the same age group only need 19. Males have to run 2 miles in 15:54 but females have 18:54. Marines require that males do pull-ups whereas females just do a flexed-arm hang. So, if you have to carry out a wounded comrade and other person helping you is a womyn, you're out of luck.

I did a few seasons of Tough Mudder races. The last obstacle on the course, strategically placed near the finish line and crowds, is a HIGH row of 5 gymnastics rings over a huge airbag. This is also strategically where the athletes are pretty gassed out. Thanks to my profession, I have grip strength for days, and actually showboated by doing upside-down pullups on two of the rings before continuing across. 40% of the men and 95% of the women lost grip and fell by the third ring. This was in all the races, in all the states I attended.

How is it relevant to USMC recruitment standarts? Tough Mudder is open to the general population - my 12 y.o. nephew did it, for fuck's sake.

PS. Fun fact: the t-shirt which comes with it was chosen in adult XL size and now being proudly worn by my BIL who couldn't do one pull-up even if his life depended on it. =))

Drafting every 18 yo for even a year (which is too short for any meaningful training) will give us a standing army of many millions. What the fuck are we supposed to do with it - invade China?

It's a snapshot of general American fitness by the pullup/arm hang metric mentioned. TM races select for a mix of "more athletic than average" and "Know they're out of shape but in it for the challenge" participants fwiw.

I'll never forget this one guy who backed up as far as he could then SPRINTED at the rings, and flew across with his arms a blur like airplane propellers, legs running in midair too. He went across barely perturbing the rings, and no idea how he stopped in time without running right off the 12' platform. This person was not human, it was The Flash, I swear!

Was at an auto auction and gravitated over to a Mexican guy wearing a Tough Mudder shirt. Told him how many races I'd run with the latest in Colorado at 11,250 feet. He listened patiently then said in broken English, "I geet this shirr' fo nighty-nigh ceyns at the threef store."

I have run across a handful of females who were deployed in the Middle East. All of them have PTSD and had negative experiences with sex aggression in various contexts. They are all to some extent basket cases, on welfares, and permanently, reactively traumatized. Somehow, it also cured them of any vestiges of feminism, funny that.

They do well recruiting the young and desperate.

Boy meets girl. Girl gets pregnant. Boy cant support her + child because he's unskilled/dumb/lazy etc... So boy joins military because it puts his family in a single family home on base, feeds them, and cares for them medically. Regardless of what happens to him, they will take care of his family for him.

For some, it works out well. Although some kill themselves after they come home from deployment or battle to find out she cheated/left him.

I personally know a handful of people who joined due to that circumstance.

I've been told that joining the Airforce can do a person very well in the civilian job market and even better in a non-military government position. Depending on what you've learned, of course.

Yes, the US military created perverse incentives that spawned two new degenerate life forms: The Dependapotamus and the TriCareatops. Between them, and tote the note car dealerships near base, 99% of what looked like "fuck you money" to the naive young recruit gets shunted away from the service member who sacrifices all to earn it.

Anything more actionable than "Because desperate circumstances, but for some it works out well" to recommend joining today's military? Anyone?

I know one company where everybody in the management were former Marines and new hires with USMC background would rise much faster than non-Marines.

PS. It's not the case anymore: it was bought by other company and the whole Marine cabal has been dismantled.

Military history can give candidates a leg up in the hiring process. Other than that it's a real crap shoot that one's military skillset will have value in the civilian job market. I remember a story decades ago about a submarine electrician that the recruiter/headhunter being featured/fellated in the article found a unicorn post-military position for, working for a Florida company that offered submarine sightseeing tours.

I met my best friend when I was 18 and he was early 20s fresh out of the Air Force. "See the world, learn valuable skills, be set for life!" they told him. He got stationed in Anchorage his entire stint, assigned to base equipment machinery maintenance, specifically the purpose-built oversize snowblowers for clearing the runways. 4 years of that had him working the same job for the same pay as I walked in and got having applied when I turned 18 that week. In the decades I knew him, he never set foot in or mentioned the letters "VA." He went to Kaiser when an employer had that and paid cash at an urgent care otherwise like the rest of us blue collar no benny schmucks.

Other than that, it's making the argument, often unironically from the mouths of staunch big government hating conservatives, that joining the military might allow you to climb higher in the black budget ranks of the Military-Industrial complex or letter agency/government spook world!!!

Nepotism, where you can find it and while it lasts. THAT'S what a stint in the military will get a man, maybe!

Military mindset and work ethic? Again, a leg up at hiring time when competing with peers who finally "have" to get a job after 4 adult years of still mooching off Mom and Dad. Diminishing returns from this in the job market the older the veteran and the farther from his time in the service.

Higher pay in the civilian job market based on merit, skillset, productivity, and performance? HA! Ha, ha... ha.

Yes, kinda like being alumni of the same school as the hiring manager.

Almost time; give it a year or two for equity to be implemented.
The House passed the National Defense Authorization Acton Tuesday evening after stripping the draft amendment from the legislation. It would have required women ages 18 to 25 to register for the Selective Service, as men do under current law.

BTW, you can and should blame gays as well.

It is extremely corrosive to morale. About the worst possible thing an army can do for morale is allow gays.

This follows from the evolutionary psychological basis for defending territory: to protect women from being impregnated by foreign men. Gays just are not on the same team.

Maybe the threat of having one's women raped by invaders is not the threat it used to be (or maybe it is) but the psychology is still there at a deep level.

Is this the opinion of actual soldiers who were deployed alongside gay people in their unit? Because the above directly contradicts firsthand accounts I've read. It also reads almost the same as the classic arguments against integrating black soldiers into "white" combat units.

I call this out as the (fucked up) opinion of armchair warriors with zero firsthand deployment experience.
