It's hard though. I'm a pure blood and I just explain why. The problem is fear. People fear death. Covid was over blown out the gates, likely on purpose. Thing is I don't fear death. I've had a fun life. Checked a ton of boxes. Only thing missing would be grandkids if I died tomorrow. My own mother was a Covid freak and she just got over a bout of it. Basically a sinus infection.

I've had a lot of death around me and have become numb to it. I don't fear an airborne virus that kills substantially under 1% of people. Those that die were close to it anyway generally speaking. I mean logically in hindsight, think about how stupid 15 days to stop the spread was? I'm no scientist, but that was absolute retardation. We need fire fighters, cops, grocery stores, etc to function even in a time of emergency. It was going to spread no matter what. Hell it was spreading well before we knew it, likely October of 2019.

It took at least 3 months to detect a new virus at all was out there (at least reported). They told us that we can wait it out for 15 days??? It just goes away? Explain it that way to people and many will come around. It's 100% not logical even without some science degree. Then throw on the layer that almost everyone I know that got it recently has been vaccinated.

I wouldn't let it ruin friendships though. Fact is when you do something wrong, you feel stupid and stand by the decision because you already did it. For this, the soldier was being flagged for the “commission of a serious offense” and was set to be less than fully honorably discharged.

Typically discharge for the commission of a serious offense involves acts such as domestic battery, murder, rape, terrorism, and drug use.

But Army command recently walked back on the discharge plans.
