The lyrics to that annoying song that continuously ran in the iPhone Olympics ad on NBC are below. I mean, WTF, the ad showed a cute little black toddler running aroung with iPhone in hand, bashing it, with that annoying song playing. Comcast ran one equating being black to having cancer or missing a limb. Is this how one does in-your-face racist ads? WTF is going on!!???

What's an "ad"?

The reason time indexing exists is so you never see one. Brave blocks ads by defaults, and allows individuals to add additional filters.

The ads don't reflect who watches the television show, or reads the paper, or watches the video on youtube. It reflects the people who watch the ads. You want to know why there's so many homosexuals and black people in advertisements? That's who watches them.

Neither I nor my wife are gay. I watched the Olympics on broadcast TV cause it was free. I endured the ads, and turned the sound off after a while, as they were all running repetitively.

I don't know the regional distribution of NBC's ads, and I live in a state with a 12% black alone racial makeup. I would guess that more white people were interested in watching the winter Olympics than blacks.

When I read the lyrics to that annoying song, I was offended. How can NBC and Apple endorse gang violence and the Nigga word in an ad that shows an innocent black toddler running around?

My advice is to quit watching TV. Life becomes much better afterwards! We switched TV on for the last time in February 2020 and we don't have to endure PC commercials, Genocide Olympics, or NPC News!

I'm just throwing you shade.

Here's a question that annoyed the hell out of my neighbor. I asked him why he bothered to watch ANY game live. I kept pointing out that he could just record it, and the skip through commercials, timeouts, etc, and watch a football game in 1/3rd of the time and still see the entire game without all the time wastage.

And I think I was destroying his ability to enjoy watching a game on television. He just didn't want to think about it.

It's a question of who sits through the ads, or the company is virtue signalling - I don't know.

A reporter won't do basic fact checking on their own article, the advertiser didn't actually check the lyrics - is my best explanation.

My feeling too. I just can't understand how people watch live TV. It's not only skipping of commercials and other down time, but the ability to rewind a bit if you missed something important. DVR setups got very simple once over-the-air TV went digital.

More than a decade ago I bought several TV Tuners that output the over-the-air digital signal through USB directly to my computer's hard drive. Computer is hooked to my living room TV. The setup gives me all the good parts of a so-called "smart" TV without the spying and bad interface. It also gives me DVR like TiVo for a low one-time cost. Surfing the web or using YouTube through a computer is also far better than through a smart TV, as I can apply advertisement and script blocking.

Even children's books now. I was just in Cheeky Monkey toy store in Menlo Park and they not only had the Fauci propaganda book for kids, they had a book about Pete Buttegeig praising his gay marriage.

I don't watch network TV at all. In fact, for a laugh and a look at the They Live world, I'll briefly turn on one of the Sunday news shows. I ski, and and Ilike the winter Olympics and didn't want to pay to watch them.

But the point is that Apple consciously made an advertisement featuring a black toddler with a gangbanger song in the background with lyrics including nigga, bitch, motherfucka and hoe, and the sound that an AK makes when killing gang rivals. And NBC was OK with it and ran it.

Not sure about the demographics of 2022 winter Olympics viewing, but for traditional TV in general:

I watched it over and over and over again during NBC's coverage of the Olympics.

Let's start with the complete lyrics to the song posted above. The lyrics include the words motherfuckers, nigga, hoe and bitch. I don't think anyone can disagree with that.

The "Chitty chitty bang" in the lyrics refers to the sound of the weapon the author purports to use on his rivals. I don't think anyone can disagree with that.

Cities. These populations are vastly higher in cities. Cities have the biggest "clout" politically so to speak. IL is an absolute perfect example. Chicago runs the state with policies they want for their city. It's about 30/30/5 in Chicago (30ish% white). 90% of the land mass inhabited outside Chicago does not think the same. Maybe female public teachers in a rural district, but even then they're pretty conservative.

I'd love it if there was a way to recalibrate the electoral college based on counties. I can't think of how it would look in the moment, but rural areas need more voice. The country is run by CA, NYC, Chicago and generally seems Ohio. They give us Iowa I suppose during the primaries to help pick candidates. I can vote and generally do vote for a Republican POTUS candidate (not McCain) but it just seems wasted. I still vote though.

The political machines running cities are flipping powerful. Local people need to start attacking those in position of power (not physically) because there's most certainly corruption and illegal actives going on. My favorite class in college was a political science (lol science) course taught by Dick Simpson at UIC. Former Chicago Alderman. He was the type to poke the bear (government). If regular citizens don't do it, nothing happens.

Urban culture is pure trash and as I've said I don't have a religious bone in my body. Fact is if you rarely have to pay a dime to live you become reliant on government. And the demographics of cities prove my point. Less white and Asian people and it turns to shit. Though sometimes shady business wise, I do have respect for some latinos. Blacks, with no dad or father figure as a child, count me out. They're going to be fully indoctrinated by mom and their schools.
