There are no "white hats" at all, anywhere, in the government, they were expelled long ago, if they ever existed, and we are not in a free market system, this is a centrally controlled economy and has been for a long time and will continue to be one.

I do not "hate" these people, but I know their history and they are worthless for predictive ability. If somebody listened to ANY of them for financial advice, they'd be fucked.

I don't think the woke mob was the main cause of shifting the focus away from merit and shareholder value. Rather the leftoid government and powerful leftoid institutions started crafting laws and sanctions against unwoke corporations. Plenty of states boycott official business with conservative corporations, and so initially it made sense to join the wokeys. Plenty of woke companies still riding high such as nike or gulag, and aso the virtue signaling conveniently casts a veil over their sweatshop practices. Once they go full retard woke though it starts hurting them financially and most will correct somewhat.
