Yes, yes...I bash the Millennials constantly. Some Zoomers too.

I think it is so bad that not only the Republic is fucked, but also basic civilization itself because the generation taking over is sooo damn incompetent and brainwashed.

Then I come across a youngster that gives me hope....like this one:

Zoomers are basically good. They are strangely a little socially hesitant, but generally hard working and LIKE to make money and practical and seem to keep to themselves.

Another good thing: Two Black Guy Zoomers at the Barber Shop have told me "Nah, I don't like chicks with big fat thighs. I like them slim"

Haha, the younger generation is FAR more skeptical of "the narrative" than the boomers.

Sure, they're young and stupid, we were ALL young and stupid at one point, but they have access to information we did NOT have when we were 10 or 20. They can see politicians in real time, look up historical records, find out anything. They don't depend on a completely infiltrated "news" to tell them what is true and false, like we once had to.

In general, the younger the person I talk with, the more likely they actually understand what is going on and the last trust they have in authorities.

I have a friend that's about my age who now works for Google, and I explained to him why I would never work for that company because of their anti-American values, and he basically just told me "I don't care, I just want to make money". That's a pretty typical attitude among adults, and it's why our country is so fucked up.

The last three generations well those under 30 has taken conformity to a whole new level. Their FOMO Fear of missing out, makes them both predictable and mailable.
Even my adult 25 year old daughter is guilty of it. I'll ask her if she wants me to make her one of what ever I'm making or she will ask me what am I making. She says to make her one, she might want one later. Most often than not it gets thrown out. The new narrative, is to download an app, register to use it, log in and fill out your information. They are on it, and if you do it the old fashioned way, by placing a phone call, or God forbid showing up in person. It's a huge Social faux pas to shrug intrusive prying technology.

They believe having rational fears is irrational and unreasonable. Yet they will get hysterical over a fictitious horror movie character.

A bit of apples and oranges. When you're young it's much easier to say fuck it I won't conform, I don't need money, just a six pack of beer and a bottle of wine every day and I'm good. Once you have family, dependents, or other acquired financial obligations, it's a bit harder to tell people throwing money at you to go fuck themselves

This. I don't know if you have/had kids Rich, but the ballgame changes when they pop out. My wife and I are fringe Millennials (older).

We make great money for our age. 1% stuff. Not inherited. Most of our peers around our age are making $100k as a family or about $70k if it's an individual dude. Most females are hairdressers or similar shit. Lots of nurses, which they do get decent money and will for the foreseeable future with the aging boomers.

I hate labeling generations though. I look at it as classes. Just think about high school. My sister and my class was mainly really good people. The class between us (2000) was absolute shit. Lots of drugs and drinking. It was a stark contrast. Those kids got in fuck loads of trouble. A black kid, and we're talking a country school, small, wrote n*gger on the side of the school in spray paint.

The '98 class was the worst. Copious amounts of cocaine and drug use. They're still doing it today. Golfing with some of them in 2 weeks. Honestly don't know how they're alive. Well I guess I know a few that died.

And when you see it with your own kids. My oldest has one of the best groups of kids I've seen. They're back in school, but would play baseball EVERY day all summer. Randoms that same them would bring them treats and drinks (small town, so we mostly knew them) My youngest I worry about with his peers. Doesn't feel like a good class.

What I'm saying is pigeon holing a generation over 10-20 years is stupid. Within a 3-4 year span in my generation the outcomes were substantially different and I know most everything since my HS had maybe 700 people when I graduated. I hang out mostly with high school friends and work friends. Introvert and college didn't click for me. Wasn't a frat boy either.

What is going on at the time molds a lot of people. Could be pop culture. Could be war. Could be politics. Parents nearing retirement and giving up. Rarely do I meet someone 39 or 41 that's a bad person. I know that's specific, but it's true. Obviously I'm biased being 39, but I think it's true.
