All European gas is being diverted to Asia.

Because gas and electricity prices are both up 1,000%, it's cheaper to import from China who has access to gas and electricity that is 10 times cheaper than Europe. Also even with storage at 100% Germany will run out of gas before the end of winter, and that is assuming an average winter. If they get the coldest winter in history 100s of millions of Europeans are literally going to die.

Yeah, and totally deindustrialized, too. So this '90% gas supplies' figure is misleading as to what is really going to happen. And it ain't good.

Not so sure about that. A heat wave can kill Europeans (like the 10,000 French who died during the heat wave awhile back), but Europeans are acclimated to cold. I doubt we will see Germans freezing to death.

Which country introduced the first mass vaccinations against covid?
What is the vaccination% in Russia, which apparently is not going down the tubes, unlike rest of Europe, and which is conveniently omitted from the Table below?

This isn't even fucking that cold. This sarcasm? 48ºF? For real? Mountainous regions might be fucked, but it doesn't get that cold in most of Europe outside of an extreme event. Climate wise it's generally like TN. There's not going to be some mass casualty event. They'll just pay more for gas. They made their own bed.
65   jykiodfgr   2022 Sep 21, 9:41am

How come liberals can't seem to see the future?

It's September and temperature is already plummeting. The Future for Europe is Extinction.

This winter just giggle at the hypocrisy as the Green Europeans have pollution advisories from all the wood smoke. People will be amazed at how many fireplaces and wood burning stoves the Europeans have.

AND they import wood chips from the US and call it green energy.

It's pretty obvious by now that all the Green Cunts were firmly on the Ruscist payroll for many decades.

PS. You are not going to cry "wood smoke baaaaad!" now, would you?
69   Misc   2022 Sep 21, 12:05pm

Since most of the upper echelons of the Euroweenie governments are super pro-green energy, and beat everyone with the climate change denier label if they talk rationally about energy as well as most of the American elites ---- Then you'd have to say that all these idiots were on the Russian payroll.
70   socal2   2022 Sep 21, 12:31pm

What happens to Russia when Europe gets through this winter?

It will certainly be a rough and expensive winter for Europe, but they will get through it without massive death - and Russia will be stuck having purposefully lost their richest customers for decades to come.

Russia can only use energy as a weapon once. Europe is busy building floating LNG facilities to take US natural gas, they are keeping nuke plants operating and firing up old coal power plants to make up for the loss of Russian gas.

Even the Germans aren't retarded enough to go back to relying so heavily on Russian energy after all this bullshit.

I plan to visit the UK on a Hipster Holiday around New Years.

As it'll be a holiday for me, I hope I won't see folks in misery.

My hope is that the locals will be too drunk to be miserable.
72   cisTits   2022 Sep 21, 12:34pm

Those customers are already lost.

Is Russia going to "boom" just selling to India and China having lost their European clients? China's population is starting to decline.

Who is going to want to buy crap Russian military hardware after seeing how poorly it performed in Ukraine?

Oil isn't crap. Wheat isn't crap. Chinese -- and lots of Africa -- desperately needs both.

But wait until next year...when Brazilian food exports collapse because their yields have been halved thanks to the shortage of fertilizer.

Freight shipping prices from China is dropping like a rock too, so Chinese imports are now cheaper than ever, just in time to replace European everything!

Yeah - but they are all commodities that are impacted by demand. You think the shit-poor Africans and the Chinese are going to be paying a premium for energy and wheat like Europe would be doing?

Russia will certainly get some short term gain while Europe suffers over the next year, but I think Russia is killing themselves in the long term.

Until Germans start drilling deep under the Ruhr coal beds for natural gas (just like natural gas under the coal beds of Pennsylvania and OK/TX old oil fields), existing evidences seem to indicate that Europe is still run by puppets like Hitler and Napoleon, who were plucked out of obscurity to implement intentionally insane policies / wars in order to kill millions of people so that the banksters can have liabilities wiped off their books. So long as Germans have to import energy (due to deliberate policies preventing domestic production, like Green policies and anti-nuke policies), that import can be turned off and the savers can be frozen to death so that banksters never have to pay back the money.

You can get rich two ways:

1) you can make more money than others
2) you can impoverish the others

Russia is doing #2 here.

Notice we can't invest in Russian corporations now - WE can't, but I guarantee American financial institutions are able to do it.

Only the United States thinks war == economy.

China builds shit, and Russia provides energy to build shit. It's only the United States that still thinks the broken window theory is real.

Real war is nuclear annihilation. Nobody but an insane asshole thinks they can win that, unfortunately, we have a bunch of octogenarian insane assholes in control of this country. Mutually Assured Destruction is still in effect. Russia is still a nuclear super-power. How can you not realize this?

The Russian government has decided for the second time this year to raise tariffs for gas and housing and communal services for business and the population.

Gas tariffs for industry and citizens will increase by 8.5%, the Ministry of Economic Development told Interfax. This indexation will be a record one since 2013, when gas prices went up by 15% at once.

Electricity for Russians will rise in price by 9% and the tariff for network companies will increase by the same amount. At the same time, prices in bills for hot and cold water, heat and municipal solid waste will be indexed by the same 9%.

More important, social cohesion in European States, especially in France, and Germany, is fragile. Berlin’s police force is reportedly drawing up contingency plans to cope with rioting and looting during the winter months if the “multi-cultural” city’s energy grid collapses. Discontent is growing making it quite plausible that governments in Germany, France, and Great Britain will likely follow the path of their colleagues in Stockholm and Rome, who lost or will lose power to right-of-center coalitions.

Russia already controls the territory that produces 95 percent of Ukrainian GDP. It has no need to press further west. At this writing, it seems certain that Moscow will finish its work in Donbas, then, turn its attention to the capture of Odessa, a Russian city that saw terrible atrocities committed by Ukrainian forces against Russian citizens in 2014.

Repukes dying, and so are the liberals. Soon we will enter a new chapter of the story.
91   cisTits   2022 Sep 24, 4:48pm

But as bad as it is now, these might still be the good days for Europe. With winter and higher gas demand on the way, experts told Fortune that Europe’s energy market has never been more vulnerable. Even the slightest uptick in energy demand anywhere in the world could push entire sectors of Europe’s manufacturing industry to shut down entirely, devastating European economies with a wave of unemployment, high prices, and in all likelihood public unrest and divisions between European nations.
